I'm with Dan. Andrew in Drag and, to lesser extent, The Machine In Your Hand are the only two I like on this latest. I didn't much care for Realism, either, with You Must Be Out Of Your Mind and Always Already Gone the exceptions there. Both are disappointments for me with tracks I actually dislike (rare for me).

Yes, a bad idea. For one thing, it appears to go against Provincial and City regulations... http://vancouver.ca/engsvcs... Like most everywhere in N. America, bike traffic "must, subject to paragraph (a), ride as near as practicable to the right side of the highway".

okay, I must have been out of it when I listened before because this is a really good album. giving it a couple listens. the addition of lyrics to most songs is a help, admittedly. thank you for making me revisit it :)

dude. masochistic, yes. dumb, no. also, nice and in depth post. you've made me look at my simple paragraph blurb each with a touch of distain ;)

I tried to like this album more than I did. I do not think it is bad. I do like it. it simply didn't grab me much in comparison to the many of the others this year. I don't have the advantage of having seen her live, which would probably increase my default view. I do promise I will give it another proper listen before setting my own list in the stone of posting it.
