The thing is, I KNEW some media outlet was going to ask his opinion on Kanye. I speculated the question would be asked during a very serious discussion on healthcare.

I just don't know why the media feels he should comment all things that involve Black folks. I mean why would you ask the POTUS his opinion on what happened at a video awards show? The answer, is to get generate controversy. I am still sore at Lynn Sweet for her left-field question on the Gates incident.

Michael Jackson music was the soundtrack of my childhood. As a matter of fact, I only recently started to use the I-pod I was given almost a year ago (technically challenged) I had my husband load all of his stuff, especaill from the 80's and 90's.

I called my brother a little while ago to remind of when our parents bought he and our little brother the "Thriller" jacket. My brother took a black marker and drew little scriggly line all on his forehead! He was trying to mimic that baby hair/curl thing MJ had. My hubby also got in trouble when he took razors to his head to get the "baby hair" look. You know how important he is when both you and your Mother are crying.

I just feel empty. I am going to stay on the video channels for now.

Did anybody see George Bush's (Bush One) press conference providing an update on the health of Laura Bush today?

He was very emotional. It even made me cry. It always gets to me when seniors who have been together for decades lose their partners, or are at the point when they realize their time is near.
When my husband's grandmother died, his grandfather was never the same. They had been together for almost seventy years. I cried quite a bit when watching him.

I would definitely feel bad if these two iconic publications were to go away. Even more so as a Chicagoan with Johnson Publishing is headquarted here.

I have to admit, I don't purchase either of these publications (except for the cover with Obama). I rarely even skim Ebony while I am in Borders reading for free. My mother and stepfather actually still have a subscription of Jet.

I think they need to modernize their layout and content. The graphics of the covers look indentical to the covers they produced in the 80's..

This episode right here, is exactly why I had to take a little step back from everyday monitoring of the political news. I even stopped reading the comment sections on mundane news stories.

I walk in the door from work only to tune into MSNBC in the middle of Bukkkanan's tirade. I literally sat for a few minutes with my mouth open. I know he has had these outbursts before, but wow. I felt angry, but mostly sad.

It seemed like to me he went unchecked. I really don't think Dyson (at least the portion I saw) did a really good job at counteracting his argument. I hate to admit it, I think Dyson is sometimes more interested in showcasing his awesome vocabulary and rhyming skills. Don't kill me.

This is my first time hearing this story. It is infuriating.
I wonder what the State's Attorney rationale is for charging the victim? Particularly when one of the perpetrators remains uncharged.

Well, I do hope he will at least steer the party away from the Rush Limbaugh mentality.

It is hilarious to me folks put a brown face in their avatar and then make thinly veiled racists comments or just say some insane crap.

Or will say some crap by first prefacing their statements with some type of disclaimer "I am Black/Hispanic just like you" !
