I'm right there with you Gordon. I think you're spot on with the annoyances
you mentioned, as well as the way email integration should work. Being able
to receive @googlewave.com would be perfect, because then I we can just
forward all mail to that address and have all communication happen in one
place.

I don't know that I would call it a resounding fail. Afterall, it is just a
preview. Assuming that preview is the equivalent to what everyone else
calls "alpha", it should eventually move into beta which should be much
better. When it does eventually get there, they will need to include
support for email in some fashion if they expect mass adoption.

The good news is that being a federated protocol, someone else may beat
Google to reverse compatibility and develop some kind of Wave client/service
that integrates both email and Wave.

Disqus has been prominent since it appeared. Maybe this happened because lots of bloggers felt the need for something new and Disqus represented that change.

Perhaps if you simplify the code, you can isolate the issue. How about if
you just try [ebay campaignid="YOUR-CAMPAIGN-ID"
keywords="YOUR-STORE-KEYWORDS"] and replace YOUR-CAMPAIGN-ID and
YOUR-STORE-KEYWORDS appropriately. Does it still break?

Just chatted with my friend, and his is working fine now. He had missed a bracket. My issue still persists, so I'm going to assume that it's my wordpress that's messed up.

That's bizarre. I'll have to try it out on another WordPress 2.8.5 blog I haven't yet installed it on and see if I get the same issue.

It sounds like you're using the visual editor, so that may be the problem.
Try clicking the HTML tab and then adding the code.

I don't have any article editing plugin. The brackets don't change, they just disappear, and the commas change from straight to curly commas. I assumed that it was something to do with the wordpress theme, so I tested a number of themes with same result. I've even had a friend test it on a different hosted domain with similar results:

The following is the output of the code on the post page unaltered. The results are the same regardless of what I do to the script, notice the brackets are gone, but the commas change:

When you save the article/page and re-open, the brackets are converted to
braces? Are you using some kind of article editing plugin perhaps?

That's odd, I haven't seen WordPress change square brackets to curly braces.
What version of WordPress are you using?

Yeah, the PBX in a Flash forum may be of better help than I have been.

Alright, thanks for the help -- I think I'm going to try out the PIAF forums, perhaps one of their gurus will know what I've done wrong. I'm sure I just messed up a single keystroke somewhere along the way.

Something else you can try, is to go into the General Settings screen and
setting Allow Anonymous Inbound SIP Calls? to yes. This could potentially
have security implications (for example, if you have an IVR). I'm somewhat
of an Asterisk noobie myself, so use this feature with caution.

It may be a good way to test things out to see if the box is indeed
receiving the calls. Ultimately, I think you want to get things set up
properly with the trunks, routes, and extensions so that you are able to
properly receive calls without having to set that option. I'm still a bit
fuzzy on setting these things up the right way, which is why I turned to
Orgasmatron since he already had all the trunks, routes, and extensions all
set up.

I'm still puzzled as to why it isn't working for you though. Everything
should be all set w/ the trunks, routes, and extensions so it shouldn't be
necessary to open up the system to anonymous inbound SIP calls.

Thanks... I assume you mean the call logs I can access on /admin/reports.php via the web interface? I just tried two calls (one incoming, one outgoing) and they both show up as "Answered" on that log. However, the incoming call rang for awhile then went to my GV voicemail and the outgoing call just gave me the hold music for 50 seconds then said "Goodbye."

I would check the Asterisk call logs to see if the calls are coming in at
all. Just click on the Reports tab at the top of the FreePBX administration
window. If Gizmo5 is forwarding properly, you should see entries being
added to the call log. If not, then the problem is either with the router
port forwarding or with the Gizmo5 forwarding.

I've messed it up a few times on the Gizmo5 forwarding, because I would
click the SIP radio button but forgot to click on the Forwarding All Calls
radio button.

If you set it up for pagination and page through them, you should see older auctions. I don't know that there's really any any other way around this at this time. I may have to add in a sort parameter to show the newest auctions.
