You're right! I'd have sworn we did a post about the places to find Jazz in Frederick. I guess I never actually posted it. Here's what I've got handy as far as events (which I know you said you don't need) You might want to call the place and verify though, some of this info is 6 months old.

June 21 – 22

Cafe 611 - I'm not sure when, but they have great Jazz performers.

If you know of others, I'd love to hear about them. As far as finding people, I'd suggest doing a post on Fredrocks or the meetup group I suggested. This forum is good for frederick info in general, but those sites are specifically for people who like to go out and enjoy the nightlife.

Of course, I'm more than willing to meet up and check out a show/gallery too. Just let me know which one catches your eye and if I'm free I'll be there, probably with friends in tow.

Also, can I convince you to tell me about these mailing lists you're on? I've got a few for wine tastings, but I'd love some local jazz and classical related ones.

Actually, search Meet Up for other groups in the area that do similar events.

That does sound great. I'm about to open an account with Comstar Credit Union, which is open to anyone who works, lives, worships, or goes to school in Frederick City. I'll make sure to compare them to SunTrust before I sign up.

I already read Consumerist, as well as Lifehacker, on a daily basis. That's actually what started my search for a Credit Union. Still, I can't imagine all credit unions are created equal. I'm a member of FERKO, http://www.fcps.org/dept/ferko/about.htm but they're too small to offer checking. I'd really like to hear about peoples' experiences before I make the jump.
