And you can tell me I'm deeply misunderstanding some pretty plainly spoken comments that Evans has made, but neither of us know for sure. Maybe we'll find out a few years down the road when he's free to speak more candidly. I'm imagine he'll be proud of the role; he's been a great Cap.

I think this is the plan. Black Panther (and Shuri) can replace the Iron Man role and I assume Captain Marvel could step in for Captain America and maybe those two will have a similar respect/disagreement relationship (Hello Civil War II).

I've read interviews where he sounds deeply unhappy. Filming these big FX action films must be pretty gruelling and often unsatisfying work. That doesn't mean that he always hates it, or doesn't enjoy the perks.

The cynic in me is wondering now: Are these stars contractually obliged to do costumed hospital visits? I've seen that a few times now and never wondered before.

I think it's pretty obvious that he's out. I think he's long been the most unhappy MCU star and they've done a lot of work setting up Bucky Barnes as a potential next Captain America. I think Thor is probably done for too. My hope is that they'll keep Downey Jr around a bit longer to help bridge the gap, with him in more of a Nick Fury role.

Iron Fist just looked terrible so I never bothered and I quit halfway through Defenders. Maybe Punisher is good, but I didn't care for him in Daredevil and I'm not in the mood for a series about a righteous gun-toting white dude right now.

I don't think Hellboy will benefit in the slightest from being R-rated. It's more of a supernatural fantasy than anything. I hope if the director does end up taking advantage of this rating, it will be for artistic merit--as he implies--than just jumping on the Deadpool or Logan trend.

It's not just the story though, it's the setting and premise. Either the stories will be closely tied to the original (Robert's Rebellion or an immediate sequel) or they will be so divorced from the original series that they may as well be original shows. I'd put money on them being more the former; an extension of the original show.

I'm just being cynical. The spinoffs could ALL be great. But I already feel like GoT is running out of steam. I'd personally like to remember it as a great show that went out with a bang, not let down by innumerable inferior sequels that gradually ran out of steam and faded away.

Why does all American TV either get cancelled prematurely or run completely into the ground? Just tell a great story and stop at the end.

What's the power consumption like when the screen is 'off'? Won't the white frame be distracting? What are the viewing angles like? Is the glass more reflective than typical television screens? (It looks like it.) Isn't artwork typically hung higher than televisions? And what effect will that have on ergonomics? (Cricked necks, I imagine.)

I'd happily settle for a more limited DS9 and Voy release. Just pick the standout 2-4 episodes from each season. I know that would be tricky with the more serialised DS9, but that show still had many classic stand-alone episodes that could be featured.
