With my move from Blackberry to iPhone, I've been amazed by how much more I use the mobile web - both via the browser and via web connected apps.

However, I wonder if your (Fred's) location (NYC) warps your sense of how big the mobile market really is.

For people who don't live in a city and take public transportation, the 'internet in your pocket' just isn't quite as important.

Disqus is via a javascript that cannot be indexed by Google... so no google juice for you OR the baseball player.

RSS readership within readers is close to dead.

RSS as a content API is alive and well and if it dies we're in trouble because there isn't a specific, common version of XML to take up the slack.

sorry to interupt the healthcare discussion, but Instapaper.com has a great Firefox plugin for sending long webpages to your Kindle. Works GREAT.

It looks really nice. Seems to blend in well. I like the way the twitter user images look.

For just a couple of people, disqus sure gets a lot sh*t done.

re '"widgetization" of the web'... I love the puzzle pieces. If something doesn't work... swap it out for a better service.

Unfortunately most of the web is still tied to download/install/setup software systems.

Who cares about the people who don't love your product? Sure those folks might increase revenues, but you've already lost them.

Create your products for the people who love them.

It's difficult to figure out all the traffic that originates via a link in a twitter stream.

Certainly Twitter, and Facebook, will eventually blow by Google for referrals.

Plus it's more valuable because that link came from someone trusted.
