He was a Lecturer from 1992 to 1996. He was a Senior Lecturer from 1996 to 2004, during which time he taught three courses per year. Senior Lecturers are considered to be members of the Law School faculty and are regarded as professors, although not full-time or tenure-track. The title of Senior Lecturer is distinct from the title of Lecturer, which signifies adjunct status. Like Obama, each of the Law School's Senior Lecturers has high-demand careers in politics or public service, which prevent full-time teaching. Economics ia hard enough to understand but "failed philosophy" will have eyes glazing over.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I also wanted to scream when I read his comment that started out giving McCain a pass,&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Obama in a morning statement says, "I certainly don’t fault Senator McCain for these problems, but I do fault the economic philosophy he subscribes to. ... Instead of prosperity trickling down, the pain has trickled up." &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;WTH, blame McCain! He's called Phil Gramm his "economic guru" -  Phil Gramm was the architect of McCain's economic plan (at least before the "nation of whiners" - another missed opportunity). You might be surprised. Here's a couple of paragprahs:&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;"Stielstra, 29, was born in Anchorage and soon afterward his family moved to Wasilla, about 40 miles north, where he lived until he was 19. Despite the influential presence of Evangelical Christian churches, and the absence of any detectable gay community, he says he felt welcome when he came out at 18."&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;His parents were very supportive. He said this about endorsing McCain:&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;He’s the only candidate in the field who’s actually paid a political price for a vote that benefited gay and lesbian people.
