I didn't fully realize that Sangwine has died twice! That's impressive. Oh, and next character poll you have, make sure that you include the palace mouse as an option. I think he'll win it. ;)

Re: #390 – Sacrifice

Yeah, Zedwig said the worst thing he possibly could to Fang. You know, first Fang pushed Zedwig to his absolute emotional limit when Zedwig was weak. As a result, he nearly got defeated by Zedwig. THEN, as if he really couldn't make matters worse for himself, he had Zedwig healed, and not only healed, but healed in a way that would push him even farther past his limit. I don't know about the rest of you, but I am much stronger as a person when I am healthy. Fang, that was stupid. If Zedwig could nearly resist your earing when he was half dead, do you seriously think you even have a chance now?

Re: #389 – Healing Zedwig

I spent a lot of time trying to forget the soothsayer, personally.

Re: #389 – Healing Zedwig

"But grandpa, you don't mean dead! [Bactine's] just faking it, right?"

...Because yes, a modified version of a Princess Bride quote was seriously the first thing I thought of. And in that story everything turned out alright! Now where's the Miracle Man?! "We [fans] have never taken defeat easily!"

I do love how Zedwig looks like a young, strong man again in the last two panels whereas Bactine looks aged. Hmm... if she did live and did age, then her and Sangwine have even less time together (which is better than none...)

And, of course, Sangwine gets to play the oh-so-wonderful role of the dying man everyone has seemingly forgotten about lying on the floor. Poor Sang.... (though obviously no one has forgotten about him)

So, where be Xylic? (and Derf, and Stump, ...and Sum'melph, and...)

Re: #383 – Fang the merciless

Blast him, Bactine! Blast him! And then, through the sheer strength of your love for Sangwine, don't faint after blasting Fang, but manage to retain enough composure to heal Sangwine. Then you can faint because you will most likely have knocked Fang off of the balcony. If that doesn't kill him, it will at least buy time! (my advice to Bactine) Oh, try to not knock Zedwig off the balcony while your at it.

(Advice to Zedwig) RESIST! You can do it! Take the earing off! The shock of that much resistance from you will buy Bactine the needed time. After that, then if can be figured out what to do with Fang (like push him off the side!).

Re: #380 – Opposites don’t attract

Or you could make bookmarks out of them! :D

Re: DREAMLESS

@ArtsAngel Another detail, the priest would most likely be holding a Book of Blessings and would have the container (probably some type of phial) of oil either in his left hand with the book or somewhere near at hand. ( I messed up the link in my earlier post, but I fixed it--sorry about that!)

Re: DREAMLESS

@ArtsAngel One of the awesome parts about Catholicism is that every detail is important. Most don't change whether the sacrament is valid or not, but they are all filled with a ton of symbolism. If you want this to be perfect, I would suggest changing it. I'm sorry I'm not more knowledgeable on this specific sacrament otherwise I would help more. newadvent.org might have something of use for this or the future, if needed. It's a giant online Catholic encyclopedia.

Re: #379 – Consent and Interruption

:D

Re: #379 – Consent and Interruption

I thoroughly agree with you assessment. I have a couple of those type of relationships in my life as well, but they are not romantic in the least (I nearly laughed out loud at the idea of them being romantic!).

Re: #379 – Consent and Interruption

I read this and found myself yelling at "Bad timing Sangwine!!!" at my computer screen. lol

Well, maybe it is best all the parties involved are present for this scene since Fang obviously is half-giving in to Zedwig rather than fully agreeing to abjure his reign. With that type of agreement, he would surely rebel and change his mind the second he saw Sangwine in charge. Only with a well thought out agreement to hand over the reign will everything be fully solved with Fang (at least, for a somewhat long time). That is my first take on the situation at any rate.

Re: #376 – Tripping in the Passage

There is a window in the secret passage. Do they usually do things like that? Ok, whatever Sangwine uncovered looks like it should be a picture, but for some weird reason I feel like it probably is a mirror (though a picture would make much more sense). Maybe it's because I have been watching way too much La Belle et la Bete...

Re: #375 – Al’bert takes one for the team

"Hallo.
