I'm so mad. Just to be clear, I've been mad since Birtherism and don't think this POS should have been anywhere even close to political office.

But with Iraq, even though it was a horrendous mistake -- and catastrophic for *certain people* (ahem, Iraqi citizens and U.S. soldiers) -- with this absolutely batshit self-own, I sincerely do not see a way forward where it's not catastrophic for *everyone* (globally). Sure, not quite the same as being blown up by an IED, but probably still the biggest foreign policy mistake of my lifetime. I hope I'm wrong and it somehow resolves itself.

I'm thinking more and more that they're doing all this deliberately. At best, it's market manipulation. At worst, they're trying to crash smaller economies, which will of course catch up to ours quite quickly.

Expect something "worse" to prevent us from voting this November. Otherwise the Senate is clearly in play. Of course they know all this, hence their need to prevent.

Honestly, this makes the Iraq war (horrendous waste and sad affair all around) look mildly more put together by comparison. It's just stunning. I can't help but think this is all some greater plan of theirs -- no one could be this wrong without an alterior motive. Not even Trump.

This is all because, for the past 50 years, Trump has succeeded in never apologizing or backing down -- and somehow he's evaded every single repercussion, long term.

In this instance, he'd sooner bring about global crisis than walk something back.

I was firmly on the "let's fuck around and have MAGA find out" with whatever fresh hell he'd unleash on us domestically -- but I don't think regular folks are paying attention to the insane risks if this shit spirals further.
