Considering Gary's posts are often his first impression and that there nothing wrong with first impressions, negative or positive, I think it's a bit rude to make an equally long post to complain. Seriously...

Anyways.... Gary, have you felt threatened at all while on the buses through those desolate areas? I just wonder about that since all that kidnapping of tourists in the news.

I would never do that, first time I went on a roller coaster (and keep in mind I was about 17 my first time) my heart nearly exploded. So I stay away from godawful free falling.

Crossing the road is a very different experience in most countries. In SE Asia, you just sort of walk in front of the traffic and hope they avoid you.

Oh wow, that's wicked awesome (yeah... I'm from Boston). Reminds of a floating island, maybe with a giant turtle under it or something. Can you climb any of them or are they pretty much sheer cliffs?

Very cool trip and I laughed several times while reading. Seems pretty ironic that Cambodia wants the temple, but it's so much easier to reach from Thailand.
