Unfortunately, John, that is what Kattenburg lives for...........to read Memeorandum each day to find where some other lefty blogger does all the work for her and finds some form of a truncated sentence or incomplete expression of a thought and then relies on that literal expression to convey a unflattering portrait of her political opponents.

To any mature mind, the truncated sentence obviously included the thought precedent that the likely certain conviction would come within the setting of a trail.........but it is easier to try and score another cheap point with her TMV peanut gallery than to allow for what would be that likely context.

But, as tidbits pronounced yesterday, Kattenburg strikes him/her as a "moderate mainstream Democrat."

Good luck running on that platform, Leo! Your vote total would make Bob Barr look like a formidable POTUS candidate in comparison. No doubt you'd pick up 13,286 lefty blogger and atheist votes and then come to a screeching halt.

And don't forget the CC has had this position just a wee bit longer than you existed on the face of this earth. Just because some would declare this to be a "political" position, hardly changes the fact that millions of others accept this to be a "moral" position, close-minded or otherwise.

By the way, I'm turning in all the liberals here in to the Ebeneezer Baptist Church for suggesting they lose their tax exemption for all the "politiking" they have been indulging in for the past 50 years.

What I think matters much more is that if you voted for Obama, then why are you letting the guy ignore your wishes so wantonly?

What is it that a groupthink exercise at TMV is supposed to accomplish that 60 million votes cast for Obama did not?

Well, I doubt you're going to be able to relate to this, but my ideological beliefs do not always align with my political affiliations. The former is personal and the latter has more to do with business and my more public personna. In a similar, but more lighthearted vein, my comments here at TMV more often reflect the environment established by the editors as opposed to my core beliefs.
With that as a backdrop, my comment above (and throughout this forum) is not intended as a defense of the the R party but moreso the population of non-liberal, self-sufficient people who first and formost need to rid themsleves of the burden of another Cozine term. Christie may not be preferable to the 3rd party candidate, but, like it or not, more electable. Your vote and my vote are cast for different reasons.

Not fully agreed, my double negative scoring friend.

The liberties questions posed can't discern a libertarian from a liberal because it did not link in the economic side into the same issue. There is no individual right on earth I would not grant to you.....abortion, pot smoking, joining the single payer Pelosi health plan.......just don't let any of it have any effect on my rights or my funds.

And what really is the logical demarcation between "agreeing" and "strongly agreeing"? I'm not prone to emotional histrionics, so it seems to me "agreeing" gets the job done.

Yes, there were deficits in the Bush years.......but Obama deficits in one year are larger than all of Bush's combined...ineffectual deflection

· This year, Washington will spend $30,958 per household, tax $17,576 per household, and borrow $13,392 per household. This spending is not just temporary: President Obama would permanently keep annual spending between $5,000 and $8,000 per household higher than it had been under President Bush.

· The 22 percent spending increase projected for 2009 represents the largest government expansion since the 1952 height of the Korean War (adjusted for inflation). Federal spending is up 57 percent since 2001.

· The 2009 budget deficit will be larger than all budget deficits from 2002 through 2007 combined. More than 43 cents of every dollar Washington spends in 2009 will have been borrowed.

· One would expect the post-recession deficit to revert back to the $150 billion to $350 billion budget deficits that were typical before the recession. Instead, by 2019, the President forecasts a $917 billion budget deficit, a public debt of 77 percent of GDP, and annual net interest spending of $774 billion.

· The White House projects $10.6 trillion in new deficits between 2009 and 2019—nearly $80,000 per household in new borrowing.

· None of these estimates include the cost of health reform.

Here is the real issue again.......if you sign a contract.......and at that time it does not run afoul of any statute.......you seem to be advocating let's have the government break the contract later on because they now think there should be a statute precluding one of the contractual terms. Is my interpretation of your view correct?

I accept it can be changed prospectively.

I guess because I really don't feel I am that much a "tool of the pimps". Each year, I arrange for a manuscript HSA policy for myself and my employees with one of the massive networks. Everyone gets the most competitive network/drug discounts available and I/they set our deductibles, co-pays and oop maximums according to our planned usages and self-insurance appetites. I incent them on healthclub memberships, dental cleanings and annual physicals with a HSA contribution for each one completed. I see our experience results each year as well as our aggregate annual premiums. The math indicates we are not "working the streets" for the insurance carrier given that I have to allow for one or two whopper claims each year.

With all due respect for the victim, the extradition does not seem to pertain to the crime against her per se. It is that of being a fugitive from the justice system.

One would surmise a hero of the working man, the unmoneyed, the unprivileged, such as yourself, would rail against one of the privileged bourgoise walking away from justice, but apparently if he is a Democrat, you make an exception.
