But plain and simple: The mission of the EPA is at odds with their record on testing pesticides. To repeat the words of the previous post, the EPA has indeed been hacked and locked by big chem. And there has been a concerted effort by big chem and their media spin teams to manufacture uncertainty on many fronts. With all due respect, the approval process at the EPA is of dubious impartiality. You are correct that the EPA does set the standards and guidelines to be followed in the testing process, BUT they are heavily influenced by the big chemical companies who successfully pressure them to suppress unfavorable data.

If you disagree, please take a look at the approval of Roundup, a popular and highly toxic weedkiller which the EPA still claims safe to use despite it's irrefutable determination as a serious carcinogen: (https://topaclassactions.co...

Or look at the EPA delay of regulatory action regarding the use of atrazine, another widely-used weedkiller, despite its determination as a hormone disruptor of serious consequence to life systems everywhere:(https://setac.onlinelibrary...

The EPA often attempts to "bend science" to advance the economic ends of Sygenta, Monsanto, Bayer and other chemical manufacturers. I don't think that's an overstatement.

Re: The Best Mosquito Control Gear for Your Patio or Yard

Please keep in mind that the EPA these days is hardly an unbiased source of information.

Re: Nice Threads You Got There

...If you don't mind my asking, what sort of legal cases? Right up there with the forwarded chain letters from your best friend's Aunt Sophie, with animated gifs of teddy bears releasing armloads of heart-shaped balloons...

Re: If You Love Me, You Would Google Me

Thanks for the relevant read. I think it's important to consider the source; what comes up in a google search is often what's been said about someone— good, bad or ugly—the online equivalent of 'writing on the bathroom wall'. Your blind date might appear unobjectionable online and still be a psycho cat collector with a record. Grin.
