Well pointed out Mel. In an interview with Ellen to promote the film "Prime", Meryl Streep recalls how for a moment she was refreshingly excited to hear that the film was about a love affair between an older woman and a younger man, until she found out that the 'older' woman was Uma Thurman, and that Meryl was being offered the role of the "older, older woman".

I'm not really buying the "No Equal Opportunity for Men" in this context. Equal opportunity in the film industry has a loooong way to go before I get too concerned about a few older women "getting away" with something that is so normalized for older men.

Yeah, the cologne just seems wrong...and waxy. I still buy coloring books, and keep them beside the television for commercial breaks. There is nothing like getting lost in color...

yes, it's a nasty cycle that so many of us can unfortunately relate to. Ugh.

It is great to hear voices speaking to self love, sisterhood and appreciation! We need to keep it up, so that one day we can drown out the other voices in the dressing room. I love my body and see it's beauty, regardless of whether or not I want to lose/gain weight.

I've had books marinating in me since I was a child.

Short stories, glimpses of raw beautiful life.

A Harlequin Spice novel.

Children's books, one day, I've been letting those ideas simmer until their time has come.

And definitely, definitely, a gorgeous book sharing my own creative process, speaking to creative self expression and the gorgeous impact it has on your life. This one will be an inspiring, beautiful work book, with lots of fun and powerful exercises.

I am a believer! I have done some of my best work (and some pivotal breakthroughs) in coffee shops. Though it is nice to form relationships with one place, I like to play the field, and choose the shop that best suits my mood. Of course, this is a luxury of living in Toronto where there is an abundant amount of independent coffee houses with their own signature atmosphere.

It's all about atmosphere for me. And the smell more so than the consumption of coffee.

Yes! Yes! The willingness to try and the freedom to express their emotions of the moment are key qualities of babies that allow them to be creative children. There is so much to learn from them, perhaps the most important thing being that we all began life with the natural ability to express and create. And we can tap into that ability at any time we choose. All of us, not just "artists".

Yes, Thanks Heather. I did take my classes with Sadie and I also bought my wonderful hoop from her. Sadie is fantastic! I believe she is teaching a weekend workshop on the 29th (next Saturday). There will also be a beginner hoop workshop for people brand new to hooping taught by Allison the same day. They have hoops there! You just need to show up willing. :)
