Dexter!!!! woot!

Dexter is a forensic blood splatter expert for the police department by day...and a serial killer by night who only kills bad people. Yeah, quite the ethical conundrum - but hey, it's TV and a fantastic show. The writing and acting are really good. :)

It's a Showtime original series.

Terrible idea for someone like me. I am a fairly fast reader and can usually get through a book or two a week. However, I really enjoy "owning" the book in the sense that I like to mark it up and right notes in them, etc. That way I can go back and use them for references.

You are correct - I would. I'd probably jot down little philosophical notes to the side to reference later for illustrations, etc.

Watched last night and it was a really good episode to kick of their final season. I can't wait to see what they have in store for us.

A funny, but true story. Davina and I did not begin watching Scrubs until January of this year (so half-way through season 6). We loved it so much because every show was so fraking (yes, I'm using your word...) hilarious that it was like comedy crack. So, to fill time between Season 6 and last nights episode, we ended up purchasing Seasons 1-5 on dvd and watching them all. We still need to pick up Season 6 and watch the ones we missed - but what a great show and I'm going miss it when it is finally over.

Boo for drunk driving and boo for irresponsible LOST actors. Hopefully Daniel Dae Kim's character figures in as a much more integral part of the show and the writers/producers do not kill him off prematurely. Let the Hawaiian legal system be in charge of punishing him and not the writers, producers, or studio suits take it upon themselves to be both the moral cops, jury and judge in this.

Just a thought - stick with what you know fellas - writing great script, shooting great scenes and putting up week-in and week-out one of the best shows ever to be on the TV.

Nice! Now I am jazzed about it coming back. I am right there with you - it has been a little uneven since that first episode.

However, my new favorite show that I think has a better lead character and better writing is Burn Notice. It is in between seasons right now - but what a fun show. I think Michael Westin could kick Jack's butt - seriously.

Although, I wonder who would win in a DUI contest? The actors from LOST or Jack Bauer? Hmmmm....

That is pretty typical - timing the release of the previous seasons dvd's with the start of the following season. You know it has to be a marketing ploy because look at how fast they kick out movies onto dvd after they are out of the theater.

I loved the old BSG and was a fan. I only watched the first couple of episodes of season one when it originally aired of the new BSG and really liked it. I think I was distracted and never returned to watching it but everyone I know who watches it loves it. So I guess at some point I will have to catch up on this one as well...sigh.

Yep, it's true - Trousered Apes love sci-fi...

Session 9 is awesomely scary - that movie starts you off with a knot in your stomach from the opening and then slowly builds it up all the way to the end until you are just left feeling a little sick afterwards - absolutely fantastically movie.

The Shinning is top-notch - what a great movie.

Seven was really good as well - one of my favorites.

I always say that a good scary movie ought to give you nightmares and if it does not do that to me, then I don't give it high marks. One that ranks way up on the top of my list for nightmares (every time I watch it) is Manhunter (the original from the 80's). This was the first movie in the Hannibal Lecture trilogy. It was re-made again after Silence of the Lambs and I did not think that the re-make was as good.

I am bummed about this but I hope that they can come to a quick resolution. I really don't want LOST to be to negatively effected. I hadn't even thought of the Office. I hope they have enough shows in the can to keep us going for several weeks. But I guess regardless there will be some lag-time when they have to play catch-up.

I just started re-watching LOST yesterday - I forgot how much season one rocks!

I just borrowed my friends 1st and 2nd season of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. First time I had watched it - hilarious!!!

I'm stocked up on all kinds of shows on dvd so I'll be watching those to fill the void. :)
