Hey, looks like the Titans are back...I can stop calling them the Titties now. They are 2-0 with VY at the helm.

Oh, and the Bears, sorry about your damn luck! The Cardinals put the boot to that behind.

At least I didn't have to endure another abysmal offensive performance by the worst team in the NFL, the Cleveland Ste...I mean Browns.

People would get mad when I told them values and social issues weren't what this race was about. Like cussing me out mad...

...but when I would ask why they were supporting Deeds, all they had were social issues. That works for a party line, but not for independents...and McD cleaned up with them.

Values are only going to carry the day, when folks are not worried about basic survival, like housing, clothing and food. So, while it may have been fair game it was INEFFECTIVE when folks need jobs.

I concede that you know better than I when it comes to how lackluster and poor Deeds campaign was...I have to agree with you on he never said what he was going to do.

I don't want to be one of those, um, black Republicans who kicks back and thinks everything's over after tonight (which is part of why I'm home and not at the victory party). The promises that have been made have to be worked towards.

Cause if they're not, it won't be Bob McDonnell getting cussed out and losing his credibility.

I've never wanted or asked for anything...except to be able, when it's all said and done, to make two points:

1. That-buried underneath all the crap that comes with it-there is a message for black people within the GOP, and
2. That Republicans can be successful among black communities when they get out and work to be.

I think I will have made both of those points.

Now, the only thing left to do is demand accountability and results from the governor-elect. That will probably kill any shot I have at joining the administration, but that's more important to me.

the bright side is that he will be gone in two years. Hopefully, the dems will realize what the hell they did and make sure it will not happen again.

Glad I live in North Carolina with our female, dem governor. She's a little crazy, but I will take her all day long with what Va is going to have.
