As a felon Vick cannot vote or sit on a jury he cannot be admitted to a state bar (become a lawyer). But he can play football in the NFL.

Standard practice for training fighting dogs is to get a puppy or stray dog and tape their mouth shut. This is done so the fighting dogs (With no resistance) can get a taste for blood with out getting injured. .Mr. Vick had everything in the world going for him and still he chose cruelty. This man is not going to punch a time clock and work on an assembly line in some factory. He is a sports figure with adulation and endorsements. That means he is looked up to. But in reality he is a piece of refuse that so happens to be a talented athlete. The NFL has sold its soul. Is everything short of murder their guideline for reinstatement? What a standard. No wonder our young people are confused between what is right and wrong. This nasty human will now make millions of dollars in front of a cheering crowd. The message? It must be OK to participate in the brutal rampant practice of dog fighting. In our society money is reward, lets give a standing ovation to the reinstated thug.

Sacrifice? I think perhaps you are mistaking service for ambition. It is clear that before her national debut she had little interest in the international affairs and the inner workings of basic government. Perhaps you are mistaking self sacrifice for ignorance.

The reality is that poverty and ignorance are responsible for a higher percentage of unwanted pregnancy’s than any other factor. Closely look at both the Republican and Democratic Party’s agenda. BOTH should accept responsibility for this crisis. The Republican Party has mastered the art of subterfuge all the while, they hope you wont notice that they have robbed us blind. First and foremost we must take care of our unborn but perhaps we should address the reason WHY there are so many unwanted babies. Unwanted children are having unwanted children. I would bet that the rate of unwanted babies and abortions have gone up dramatically under the Bush administration. Give it a look. Todd Palin until recently was a member of the Alaskan Independence Party. A group that would like to secede from the United States.
(Wasn’t that what the CIVIL WAR was about?).

Joe Vogler the founder of the party stated that “The fires of hell are frozen glaciers compared to my hatred for the American government. And I won’t be buried under their damn flag.” Sarah Palin attended one of their conventions and addressed one of their conventions Via video.

Ms. Palins Pastors have said and done some questionable things as well. Expelling witches???

There are plenty of skeletons in McCains and Obamas Closet. We have established that.

SO PLEASE can we focus on the issues.

President of the United States.

I am terrified at the prospect of this less than open, inexperienced, undereducated woman could have this county in her hands.

For a short time she was a sports reporter
4 years on a small town city council
6 years as the mayor of a small town with less than 7,000 people
2.5 Years as the governor of a state with only 650,000 people.
On the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission

Palins lack of curiosity about the world and international affairs.
Ms. Palin first applied for a passport last year.

Undereducated?

After changing colleges 5 times she did graduate with a Journalism degree

Regarding the bridge to nowhere. In 2006, Palin ran for governor on a "build-the-bridge" in her platform. She urged quick work on Alaska's infrastructure projects "while our congressional delegation is in a strong position to assist." (Ted Stevens) After the bridge received sharp criticism from John McCain and other congressional members she backed down.
Sarah Palin's transportation department has JUST completed a $25 million gravel road leading to the site of a (The Bridge To Nowhere) bridge that Palin, now boasts that she stopped, so as to save taxpayers money. The road was built with federal tax dollars. A ROAD TO NOWHERE

The inquiry was initiated, (Before her nomination)and continues, only because Alaska Republicans many of whom have worked with and supported Palin in the past agree with Alaskan Democrats that the question of whether Palin abused her authority must be addressed.

In Oct 1996 Palin inquired as to whether Emmons (Wasilla town Librarian) would object to library censorship. Emmons resisted. Palin then raised the possibility that people may circle the library in protest, to which Emmons replied that the American Civil Liberties Union would get involved. Palin backed down. Palin fired Emmons on 1/ 30/1997. The next day she withdrew the firing after an expression of public support for Emmons

Quite frankly the thought of Ms. Palin sitting across the table from the likes of a Mahmoud Ahmadinejad chills me to the bone. She is NOT qualified to be Vice President let alone President.

I wish people could be civil and focus on the issues.

A little history.

Al Gore was a gentleman and was a victim of negative campaigning. He lost (Sort of).

John Kerry was a gentleman last election and got swift boated and side swiped by negative campaigning. He lost.

In my opinion the last Presidential election was won in the sewer.

Perhaps, unfortunately the Democrats have learned how to play by the gutter Rove rule.

Poverty and unwanted pregnancies.

The reality is that poverty and ignorance are responsible for a higher percentage of unwanted pregnancy’s than any other factor. The Bush administration was the candidate of choice within the religious right. But I ask has the number of unwanted babies gone down? My guess is that is has risen substantially along with the growing poor. So I say we should address the reasons WHY there are so many unwanted babies. I would love to play poker with John McCain. He was unable to hide his emotions in a simple debate. Heaven forbid some national catastrophe should emerge needing a calm head. It was clear that McCain was having a very difficult time containing his volatile nature. We have already experienced 8 years of thoughtless, knee jerk reactions. Now combine that with a hot temper.

He could not or would not look at his opponent. How will that translate in to his leadership style? Anyone having a different view will be ignored? We need direction and strength not combustible flux.

Also, I am disturbed that no one has brought this up. Mr. Palin was a member of the Alaskan Independence party. One of their goals is the secession of Alaska from the USA.
