I believe. Yes i really do. There is a conspsiracy against my beloved IU bball program. SOMEONE at the NCAA seems to have a bias against us so large it DEMANDS investigation by the legislature or congress or someone. Time to prod our local politicians ( they live for posturing anyway).

I live in the Pacific Northwest. It rains here a HELL of alot. The NCAA rains hell on IU. I hope Big A and all other Indiana bball bloggers beware that your web sites don't come under attack next. The uber NCAA storm troopers have their watchers on the internet.

The NCAA sucks. Yes, it does. Why did the NCAA add FRESH hell now? IU lost its season, its coach, all its coaches.we lost respect. We lost almost all our players, WE get hit with multiple charges from the NCAA, we make our case before a NCAA Tribunal . Now, while we are waiting for judgement yet another charge is made and our AD "resigns".Oh, and how could you have ANY sort of violation without a "failure to monitor?".

The NCAA and their stupid phone rules are anal. "Conference calls" are a violation? And did we ever find the phantom recruit that admits he attended IU because of a clear "Telephone" advantage? Well, the NCAA sucks and if I didn't respect the Big A and my fellow ITHers I would use more colorful language

Though the Indiana men’s basketball teams’ four year rolling-average of 899 puts it well within the range of established punishment boundaries set out by the Academic Progress Rate, the Hoosiers avoided the wrath this year.

The NCAA released its data for the 2006-07 academic year today. On the three page document that logs all of Indiana’s teams, a footnote explains that the basketball team was spared punishment because of the “team’s demonstrated academic improvement and favorable comparison based on other academic or institutional factors.”

Only one school, Purdue, had a lower APR for men’s basketball in the Big Ten. The Boilermakers are also the only conference school to suffer any penalty in basketball. They’ll suffer an “immediate punishment,” possibly the loss of a scholarship
