It's one of the weirdest things. But it totally makes sense now that I've thought about a bit more. If you were starving out in the desert and you happened upon anything edible, your body would MAKE it taste good so you'd eat it and not starve. :)

Re: 7 Illogical Reasons for Doing a Fast

That's exactly what I thought too. :) But drinking the maple syrup-y stuff every 15 minutes has kept my sugar levels pretty stable. I'm very much surprised by how easy it was, though I am totally looking forward to real food again.

Re: Do It With Your Eyes Open & Be Awesome: Post-#Shine Wrap Up, pt 1

Woohoo for eyes open! I can imagine the exercise as being a little freaky for me too, but definitely worth it I'm sure.

I love your attitude toward being famous (no matter how small the niche), and really it is something we need to get used to... I mean the freaking out part.

I'm really looking forward to reading the other parts, especially since I didn't go to Shine. So it's extra interesting from an outsider's perspective. ;)

Re: Dry Skin Brushing Helps Eliminate Toxins… and Cellulite?

I used to forget all the time too, actually... But I've been doing it every day before I shower for the past month, and it's really been great. I used to have a really tiny brush, and maybe that's why I didn't feel like doing it too often? Since I switched to the Purest Palm Brush (that's mine in the photo hehe!) I'm a lot more consistent. :)

Re: How to Perform a Salt Water Flush to Cleanse Your Colon

Ooh I know what you mean Susan. It's something I would never have imagined doing before I heard about raw food, but now it almost seems normal to want to fast at some point in your life.

I am looking forward to sharing more of the real deal, warts and all. It was so awesome to meet you, and I'm sure the meetup will grow and expand over time. I heard the third time's the charm. ;)

And it was really interesting that having an "outsider" to think about made us both appreciate how we are different. I'm not sure how it would work since from my understand it's the sugar in the maple syrup that keeps your blood sugar from dipping too low. That being said, I think you could probably do well on a juice feast with more veggies than fruits?

I'm not an expert at fasting by any means though, so sorry if this isn't very helpful!

Re: 7 Illogical Reasons for Doing a Fast

You're welcome, Nathalie! You keep knocking these out of the ballpark Elizabeth!

I can definitely see this applying in the raw food world too. There are certain raw advocates who preach 100% raw.. and then there are people like Sarma who tell us straight up that she drank some beer, and wanted to gnaw on a 2 by 4 during her juice feast/fast. It's so honest and totally disarming, and most importantly it's true! I like to tell people that I'm not 100% raw, I feel better when I eat 100% raw, but I'm not "perfect" or trying to pretend to be either.

Love it!! Keep sharing your truth, you rock!

Re: How to Make a Festive Raw Pumpkin Pie Recipe

Hey Chelsea!

The ebook was a pre-launch promotion for my Cure Cravings Program, and the program registration page is now taking its place. I've had moments when I felt like there was a force holding back, and usually it was me over analyzing things. Like, I can't juice often because my juicer isn't that good. Or I don't feel like exercising because I have work to do, or whatever. But as soon as I get into the juicing or the exercising, it tends to just keep going by itself. :)

Thanks for sharing your experience, it's super helpful to see how things happen for you.

Re: Holistic Healing Approach: Heal Yourself With Raw Food

You've certainly had a lot of experience in this field Carla. Thank you for sharing your own struggles. I know what you mean, I tend to skip exercise in exchange for more time on the computer too. ;) What I've found to be helpful is to get a buddy to encourage each other.

Also, making your work outs fun helps too! So if you like to listen to documentaries or audio programs, do it at the same time as you run on your treadmill.

Thanks for commenting, seeing other people's stories helps a lot! :)

Re: The Importance of Investing in Yourself & Your Health Without Giving Up

Hi Asami!

It's so cool to hear from someone in Japan, it reminds me how truly global the web is. :) And yay ex-cookie-monsters unite! ;)

I'm so glad you're giving green smoothies a try! I definitely think we have a lot in common when it comes to coaching and being able to objectively view things.

Having someone else to look to is a way to not taking too much responsibility, in my experience. But I've found a coach to be different, since they can give you an outsider's view and question you so you find out for yourself what the right choice might be.

Love it! :D

Re: Persistence – Knocked Off His Stride, But Not Off His Feet

I sometimes feel the same way Ali. Info products. I'm pretty sure I'm a recovering info product junkie. I found that online course do work much better for me though. Like actually doing the work / learning the content with other live people makes a HUGE difference! It keeps you accountable, moving forward, and just plain old more fun too.

So yes info products fail. And honestly I can't keep tons of binders or DVDs because I like to keep things simple... in case I move again. ;) I think your Money Tree System is great, and would do even better in a virtual format like you're doing now.

Plus, it's good for the trees. ;)
