The potential for unscrupulous characters to infiltrate this area is huge! I can open one of these schools and hold 'classes' for an afternoon in a restaurant or maybe an unused warehouse or in my own home - none of which are zoned for this type of activity - and anything could happen. The fact that I could be gone once your check clears should be a concern and what happens if you don't get a job after you pay for all their training? What happens when the job you land in their network after completing their courses ends with the project six months after you start - will you have enough skill to get a job then or will they reel you back in for more courses for another gig?

There needs to be transparency and accountability which only comes from regulatory oversight. They need to play by the rules just like everyone else - no matter how "innovative" they are in their training approaches. The government's role here is to establish a level playing field for ALL businesses.

Re: I need your feedback: What stories and shows should I be covering? What do you like best about reality blurred? + reality blurred

I'm a big fan of your Big Brother coverage and look forward to your strategic analysis before the season and recaps after every episode. It's what attracted me to Reality Blurred in the first place and it's one of the things that keeps me coming back. I'd love to see you give a broader spectrum of shows receive similar treatment.

I think it would be great to see more analysis/opinion for a wider range of shows so I can keep up with them without actually having to watch them. Maybe you could do a genre based series of posts, each week highlighting various sub-genres of reality TV like talent based shows, decor/design shows, dating shows, real estate shows, etc. You could compare and contrast all the shows in a sub-genre and present a best in class list. I'd especially enjoy your take on some of the cable shows that don't get much coverage elsewhere - see so many of them listed on sites like Hulu now but I don't have much time to wade through them and I look to someone like you to cut the wheat from the chaff for me so I can maximize the viewing time I have available.

I'd also like to see you expand to include more recaps of shows so I don't have to watch every single episode to know what's going on. Even just a basic summary of what kind of show it is, what the basic plot outlines are and highlights of the strongest characters featured would be so helpful. I basically stopped watching Survivor and Amazing Race because I get all I need to know from your site and I can still form enough of an opinion about what's going down to chime in when friends or co-workers start talking about them. I work with a lot of younger people and don't want to appear out of touch and I like that your site keeps me connected.

I realize expanding your offerings would be quite time and energy intensive and you might not have the personal bandwidth or interest to address a wider range of shows. Perhaps you could reprint a highlight and a link to the recap/coverage from other sites that aren't on my radar. Maybe you could set up some kind of reciprocal coverage deal with another blogger to develop shared content like they get to reprint your Big Brother coverage (With proper branding intact of course) and you get to reprint their Jersey Shore coverage. I'm obviously not in the Jersey Shore demographic but the cast seems to have seeped into the cultural zeitgeist - makes me wonder what else is bubbling up in your blind spot.

Another way to expand your recaps/coverage might be to draft friends, students or interns and mentor them to develop content for your site. That way you could be more like Slate or HuffPo but where they are broadly focused, you could really be the go-to spot for all things reality TV.

Right now you're my first stop - would love it if you could be my only stop.

Re: Happy Birthday Twitter!

Twitter is a total joke now - they jumped the shark last year and they know it - that's why they won't "bulk release" the inactive user names and delete the profiles of people who are inactive for 6 months or more. Now that viewers are so spoiled for choice its highly unlikely we'll ever see a single show reach such market share ever again. I can't even think of the last time one of the major broadcasters even attempted a mini-series with back-to-back episodes on consecutive nights - to see Gone with The Wind, Roots and even the Thornbirds on this list reminds me of the "Must See TV" that is sorely missed these days.

Re: L.A.
