I am going to have to change my user-name until Jobe graduates.(he wears of all the numbers he could choose from nbr 40, I doubt he can live up to that number)..good effort from the kid, but the bball skills are very very raw.
Daniel Moore impressed me the most, he struck me as very solid dribbler with a high basketball IQ.
Verdell Jones looked ok, but needs to work on his passing, dribbling, and decesion making, hopefully that will come with maturity.
Devan Dumes..SOLID
Nick Williams didn't seem to be as athletic as I thought he would, especially for an Alabama state player of the year in high school.
Overall I was pleased with the effort from the team, coach, and fans...GO IU
now to search for a new name

HA!!! The Amish boys discription pretty much sums it up. You forgot all the Millers though. :grin: Did get ranked #2 in state last year so I guess the wednesday night Ice cream supper Bball games did pay off. lol Got a great coach though.

That first link is a cool one, that Fort Wayne one is the closest at an hour away though. I'm in way N Indiana about 20 minutes from the MI line. Should check it out though when I get down there for the dog training.

Maybe Brand has a heart, maybe he seen the wrong direction we were going in with regarding Sampson, and his way of helping was to blow this whole thing up so we could right the wrong. He apparently was at the Crean press conference when Crean was hired.
I honestly think you may see no excessive penalties regarding loss of scholarships or post season tournament ban.
If I had to choose I would take a one year ban instead of a loss of scholarship

Bassett and Ellis have enrolled at the University of Mary Jane, while Thomas will be the starting five at Krispy Kreme University.

It is a damn shame these guys couldn't live up to IU and Crean's standards. I wish them all nothing but the best and BigA this was meant as a joke, sometimes a little laugh is the best medicine in a situation such as this....

Didn't Purdue have 4 or 5 freshman start this season? and they suprised us all.
I say our freshman are a longer shot to do well record wise, because the Big Ten will be a better confereence this year top to bottom. Let's just look at growth from start to finish this year and see where we are at at years end. One thing for sure the effort will be there and seeing where the players fit and accept there roles is what I'm looking at this season

That's more like it. Kelin and Ben have something for Dumes and Jobe. They maybe Juniors but they were playing JC ball...which in my mind is probably less competitive than AAU.

I saw that on Hutch's blog yesterday afternoon. It made me sad, since a couple of days ago I was thinking about how much I liked Gladness, and then suddenly I see that he's passed unexpectantly. Very sad, indeed, and all prayers and well-wishes out to his family and loved ones. It seems like he embodied the things that we as fans look for in the players for Indiana's basketball program, with the work he was doing after college. Very sad news for a lot of us.

William was a decent player during the 98 -99 season. You might remember him as the JUCO player that had a bullet in him from when he was shot in high school, or you might remember him for all the bunnies he missed in his two years at IU, most notably the potential game winner missed against Kentucky from about a foot from the basket...

Wish you nothing but the best Sutton. Crean looks to know what he is doing, if nothing else we get the big body we needed even if it's only for rebounds and blocked shots, plus if Jobe doesn't work out we only wasted 2 years on him instead of the 4 Sutton could have used up, thus giving Crean more time to go after an elite big man for 2010.
This Jobe signing could also help with gettin Negedu, if nothing else Jobe can't be worse than Deandre turned out to be plus Jobe doesn't even have to jump to have a higher vertical than Deandre....Go Crean get Negedu signed
