Bent has scored twice this season (Chelsea, Stoke). I think Bent shouldn't be on the list; he's playing in a system that doesn't suit his talents. Put him at Liverpool or Aston Villa and I think you would see completely different results.

I'd put Owen Hargreaves on the list. Granted most of his career was spent in Germany, but United paid ~18 million for him and he's always injured.

If the same thing happened outside of the six yard box I'd say no foul. Inside the six yard box, you have to call a foul there. I don't know how the ref didn't wave it off. Oh wait, the ref was Steve Bennett...

World Class (to me) means that you could walk into the starting 11 for any team in the world (national or club). Based on that criteria the only English players that come close, IMO, are Gerrard, Rooney and Ferdinand. In the Premiership, I think you can only call Ronaldo, Torres and maybe Cech World Class.

I think it's a bad idea because it would give the manager an incentive to keep their skilled academy players on the bench when they should be out on loan to lower division sides gathering experience.
