IMO Amazon's associates prog is a crappy example of an aff prog - poor 24 hr lifespan tracking cookies, non-existent tracking, low commission payouts. I can think of a number of other aff progs which will give better payouts and conversions per click.

My personal preference is this:
for mobile video shooting or when I'm out with the family, I use my flip.

If I'm recording video for a product, I use my tape-based Sony camcorder (with all the "prosumer" attachments).

I haven't look at other things closely. Guess the bulk of my disposable income goes into my computer?

The flip wins out for portability.
For web videos, the flip is perfect

The other cameras are pretty handy, esp if you're doing premium videos or stuff you plan to sell (like training/tutorials) or plan to burn to DVD, but they're usually way bulkier.

I'm an advocate of namecheap vs other registrars and it's great to see an aff prog coming to fruition after 3+ yrs of waiting.
The terms weren't quite what i expected, and i guess it's better than nothing.

I'm with you in putting the reader/customer's interests above my own profit, so it's nice to see a little recognition from namecheap.

You're making the assumption that the Twitter Grader score means anything more than a number.

It uses a brute force approach, such that a twitter snob (ie: following 100 and having 1000 followers) would likely get outranked by someone who follows 20,000 twitter uses and has 5000 followers.

I'd not use grader for anything other than coming up with a semi-random number.

The other point about value is that it's typically tied into a specific person or company, so value is attached, attributed or stuck onto something.

If value is strongly created (eg: SouthWest air), then it creates very sticky customers and significantly increases LCV (lifetime customer value).

Seems like it'd be only smart to work on that aspect of the biz vs just lead gen alone...

If you're a type A personality, the occassional periods of slacking/chillaxing are a period to recharge, especially if you've had an intense period of work activity.

Enjoy things while there's a respite, though anything longer than 3-6 months is a little long in my opinion, even if you're doing well on the financial/mental well being front.

Life in general seems to be a series of spikes (up and down), rather than a linear development (upwards or downwards). I take the naps as and when I can get them.

Imagination: I make it a point to work on fun projects - it helps maintain the motivation, and "work" becomes "play".

It's a 2-way street, I "fire" most of the networks and merchants that approach me - seems to work better for my psyche and karma. But maybe that's just me...

Great resource, energy management.
I've overheard some of your convos with Anik, Heather et al. and I think inner focus is a great part of your success too.

I'd also add "decluttering" is a key concept, esp if you're able to manage and declutter the physical, mental and emotional clutter from daily life.

I guess that's one of the reasons why aside from biz books, I like books by Po Broson - a lot of existential issues are brought up in his works and though he doesn't always provide neat answers, he does help you along the way with a couple of great perspectives.

Great to see you at the summit and look forward to having you on my podcast series soon!
