Maybe this was the tapas 9 idea from the start , one evening in the beginning of 2007 ,sitting together with some bottles of wine - hey lets become famous, make money with a big film deal, go to Portugal, simulate an abduction and fool the public with the perfect crime! All planned out?

I agree with you John, and I have a lot of confidence in the work of the PJ ,all the McCann lawyers only waiting that the police makes one formal mistake...

Concerning the news about the orecruitment of online-helpers by the McCann team, it feels like we are observing a powerful religious cult at work. The efforts of all the people associated with the McCanns are unbelievable.

The folllowers on their "find maddie"websites must be affected by the team's abilities to manipulate, lie, create and stir up paranoia and fear.

Others like the respected telegraph journalist yesterday use the McCann case to promote their political views. Others use it to make money,

And at the same time in Portugal the letters of rogatory are - like always and never ending - in preparation, and every day some new unconfirmed news tell us that there is enough evidence against the parents - but never confirmed by credible sources and the case seems to be stuck, leaving plenty of room for spreading lies, lies, more lies. I am so sick of it. Why is not moving forward?

To me it seems totally crazy. Their appeal to the abductor - even that they tell him/her they understand if he doesn t want to come forward - maybe out of loyalty - sounds like they understand themselves!

the whole thing is so unreal - it must be Clarence s spin! Even people who have not followed the case during the last months must think - why do still they act as if Madeleine was alive after 8 months being in the hands of...?

From time to time the hoax theory, an abduction planned by them and their friends, seems right. But I don t think she is still alive, maybe planned abduction and then something went wrong, so her death changed the whole thought-out scenario. Of course this is speculation without any evidence and does not really belong here.

although I do not post often, I read everything you all write daily and like others , I want to continue until the case is solved (although my husband/daughte/dog signal me frequently that they worry about me, being so obsessed...)

John, I read a while ago that the McCanns didn t choose M3, it was one of their millionaires who knew the agency and wanted to promote them . I just can t remember where I found it.

A few days ago the newspapers in Germany published the results of a clinical study about the increased frequency of cancer of children growing up near atomic plants.

It seems so corrupt of Gerry McCann to be the medical advisor on a commitee which affirms exactly the opposite in order to allow some people to make even more money....
