I agree with the author that some of those plugins are certainly underrated but others, such as Jerome's Keywords and WP-Cache, show up on almost everyone's "Best Of" lists.

Thanks for being a part of the "I Follow" movement. I don't know why Wordpress doesn't just make NoFollow/DoFollow an option in the dashboard. At any rate, I think you have a great site going here. I need to make myself a plugins used page like you have.

Yeah, I think it's a win-win for Google and Feedburner. Feedburner is getting a nice chunk of change for their couple years worth of work and Google is getting a very nice service that they should be able to utilize immediately. It makes sense all around.

I definitely have to agree that the awards shows, and maybe the Emmys in particular, are really starting to show how irrelevant they are becoming. The Oscars have always been bought and sold to some extent but some of the shows that when awards at the Emmys (and continue to win year after year against better shows that never even get nominated) are just laughable. Sad really.

I could have said that Cap'n...I should have... But I've seen the other side...how do I go back now? How do I go back to my 3 movies at a time with no in-store trade ins and one free movie rental per month coupon that I never get to redeem because I don't have time to watch that many movies? How? I don't know if I can do it.

You didn't get the same notice? Wow. I guess I was just assuming that the rates were going up for everyone. Well, now I'm really not happy. LOL I can't believe I didn't consider that I was being singled out for my abusive use of their DVDs. I actually had the nerve to use the service to my full advantage. What was I thinking?

It was an email. As far as I know we haven't gotten anything in the mail. But I don't think they ever send anything in the mail except the movies. You might want to keep an eye on your bank account if you have have it set up for automatic deductions.

Well, if we work on the assumption that Jack Bauer is the best of the best (and I'm okay with that assumption) it gets a lot harder to pick a favorite. So, I narrowed it down to my top ten favorites...in no particular order:

Coach Eric Taylor - Friday Night Lights
John Sheppard - Stargate: Atlantis
Gil Grissom - CSI:
Shawn Spencer - Psych
Jonas Blane - The Unit
Captain Lee 'Apollo' Adama - Battlestar Galactica
Homer Simpson - The Simpsons
Jack Shephard - Lost
Sheriff Jack Carter - Eureka
Jeff Probst - Survivor (

I realize that Jeff Probst is not technically a character but I would assume he's polished a certain personality that he brings to the show every single time that probably isn't his complete true self.

The list is also short on comic characters. I think that is mostly due to the ensemble nature of the comedies I enjoy watching (The Office, 30 Rock, etc). It's also heavy on sci-fi characters which is something else I enjoy watching.

And no females. Just realized that. Have no idea what that's about. I'm sure a psychologist would have something to say...

Mine sounds the same (well, sounded the same) except I only get one bonus movie or game rental e-coupon a month. I'm also not sure about the in-store game exchange as I only ever get movies.

I actually thought Netflix had much quicker delivery time as far as the mailed movies go. But how can they compete with Blockbuster's ability to let you trade in the movie you received in the mail for one in the store. That is the reason Blockbuster is better (in my opinion). Of course, with higher prices and limited in-store trade ins I'm not sure it's going to be quite as good.

I know that Digg can send a lot of traffic to your site so many bloggers try to write articles specifically geared towards the Digg reader. But I think many of us would really have to sell out our blogs in order to write articles that would actually appeal to Digg readers on a major scale.

The truth is, I don't feel like the Digg traffic is quality traffic. I don't feel like it's worth it. Even if they visit my site and subscribe to my RSS they wouldn't stay subscribed long once I start publishing my regular articles...articles that are not in tune with the opinions associated with Digg users that you mention in your article.

That's good advice but the title is a bit misleading. Just removing every source except one isn't actually going to help you earn more money if you weren't have any success to begin with. You still have to get people to your blog and you still have to get them to click on your ads or whatever.

I've been lucky enough to not have to struggle a lot with my spelling. I thank my mother for making me read so much as a child. But I know a lot of people who aren't great at spelling so I know how big of an issue it is to them. This is a fantastic article with some really good tips in it.
