in Stumbling onto “new” things on Jeff's Tool Shed
You shouldn't strangle your coworkers. Just do what I do and smack them upside the head. It gets your point across without the tell-tale marks.

in Build LEGOS in 3D! on Ricky Jordan's Blog
Oh great, one more reason why my 3 year old daughter will never get off the computer. I had to buy a laptop because she took over my desktop. Right now she lives on the Spongebob website, I would hate to see how it would be if she learned how to do Legos on the computer.

in Adobe Launches Acrobat.com and Acrobat 9 on SolidSmack
Great, now I have more stuff to learn. At my company I was picked to be the Adobe Expert now I have to stay ahead of the curve. Ahhh... Who needs sleep anyways? I'd be interested to see how this works with the dynamic forms I create in LiveCycle.

in Standards Tuesday - Drawing Notes on The SolidWorks Geek
Hey fcsuper,

I totally agree with you on using a border for the desired shape when there is only one flagnote. As long as your company standards allows for one of the available borders, that would work. I didn’t really go into detail on local note usage with flagnotes because there is no one good way to do it. If a local not uses text along with a flagnote then you must use the symbol library, same if you have more then one flagnote for a leader. I was thinking about doing a blog post in the future about the different scenarios and the best way to approach each.

in Standards Tuesday - Drawing Notes Pt2 on The SolidWorks Geek
I am glad to hear that your inspector puts that much emphasis on the drawing notes. Drawing notes are the backbone of any good drawing and not having a set company standard with regards to notes can cause huge problems. I have experienced manufacturing and inspection issues just because an engineer was not clear about the terminology used.

Hey Chris,

Wow, Thanks for the info. Don't I feel like an idiot. I guess I was looking for the hard way. I guess this proves that I am not just reading from some book. Hopefully, this will be last mistake i make....yeah right.
