I saw it last night at an NYC screening and highly recommend. It works whether you are from St. Louis or not, but there were several former St. Louis residents in the audience who seemed to be really enamored by the city's presence in the film.

Re: Smith Documentary Receives Award at Silverdocs Festival in D.C.

Are you the 'Steve' that posted a comment on my post? If so, thanx! I'm seeing the film in NYC next week, so I'll post my own impressions after that. Off this topic though, I posted a message about new city centers for arts and culture, and someone responded that Chicago, Columbia MO and St. Louis might be up and coming since so many are being priced out of NYC, LA, DC and San Fran - any thoughts about St. Louis you'd like to share?

[REPLY - Sorry, different 'Steve' as I have not yet seen the film although I am promised a screening soon.

Yes, St. Louis is very up and coming, although most of us would lump Chicago in with NYC & LA. Chicago folks move to St. Louis for great architecture at relative bargain prices. Give us a look... - SLP]

Re: Let’s Play Meme Tag!

M- You are missing the best states! I've been to all four and had life-altering experiences in each (as opposed to the many others I have been to, but I'd have to think hard about which are missing - Alaska, notably). Great 8 things. Thx for gettin' down with the meme. I clicked over to see what yours is about and I see this great post. I've never gotten to the point of having this intimate relationship with equipment, and it makes me a bit sad about that fact. Great job!
