Yes - we had a "Grand Gathering" of rooms, which means they guarantee that all four of our rooms would be next to each other. When my sister, who was the first to arrive, checked in they didn't have four room next to each other on the "regular" floors so they bumped us up.
So my advice to you: check in early in the day so that the people who haven't checked out yet don't show up as "open room" - perhaps that might help? It's only a guess at why. Probably just dumb luck.

The 4 legged race is great...but what does that have to do with farming? I understand the seed planting, and seed throwing, but you don't see many farmers harvesting while tied with two of his friends?? They farm in the Midwest......I think you guys should start something like this up there!

I think it's just a "spirit" thing, like we work so well together and this is a fun way to show it. But you're right, I don't see any connection to farming or peasantry.
