in notes about nothing - nedhepburn: Joy Division “Disorder” Since I’ve... on www.jennifermorris.tumblr.com
Absolute choon. Love it. I love a good music doc, and Control was almost one of those.... most excellent. I watched 24 Hour Party People a couple of weeks before. Try that too! Much more entertaining - together you get a more complete picture!

Funny how this so very closely mirrors British politics! Blair as Gates and Brown as Monkey!

that's either tragically funny or ironically brilliant. I can't tell!

John Davies In ten words you summed up my thoughts completely. I'd really like a minute to ask questions of the sign maker to find out which.

in Message for Friday: Yes We Can on The Secret Diary of Steve Jobs
I sincerely hope that Obama gets to be president. And I'm in London. I just think it'd be great for the US to get into the 21st century in terms of racial equality (not that the UK is great at that, but still...)

but I especially think it'd be great for the rest of the world :)

in Ballmer: I'm completely out of ideas on The Secret Diary of Steve Jobs
Maybe Ballmer hasn't forgotten his idea of driving companies together to beat them.

The Register is now reporting that Yahoo is asking Google for help !

This means that Ballmer knows that noone wants Mahoosoft, but if he drives Google and Yahoo together, there will be mass rejoicing for a whilst, followed by mass confusion within their two companies for months whilst they work out the logistics. Meanwhile, he can unleash phase 2! (whatever that might be)

in So we're missing a few hundred thousand iPhones. What's the big deal? on The Secret Diary of Steve Jobs
I do wish there were warehouses full of iPhones here in the UK. Then maybe they'd sell them at a reasonable price!

I think a lotttttt of people are waiting for a 3G iPhone. I can think of at least one. That'd be me.

in Negroponte: "We have been more like a terrorist group" on The Secret Diary of Steve Jobs
I still don't understand why there's this push to get laptops into the hands of kids in developing countries when there's so many more pressing concerns that should be dealt with first... maybe I'm off with this one...

in The power of ubiquitous media - UCLA Police on YouTube on Financial Aid Podcast Weekly Internet Radio Show
Thanks for bringing this to attention.

I'm from the UK. The most our police are armed with is pepper spray, and I've never seen it being used.

Once they had the guy in custody, that was it. Why the need for continual tazing? It makes no sense to me.

Presumably the guy had done something to warrant being stopped, but still...

I would be interested to see what the College Administrator had to say if he did post a video response.
