It would be folly of the highest order to dismiss this right now. Not all problems can be dismissed as personal differences which can be brushed aside as the playground squabbles of ten-year-old children. Both parties make a living through GNOME. If one party feels that the other is such a negative influence on the project as to warrant a high-profile disruption like this, it would be sensibly to treat this as such. Do you think Microsoft managers tell their subordinates to "kiss and make up" over things like this?

I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume that everything you know of this story was gleaned from Planet GNOME within the last ten hours. As such, why on Earth are you in a position to ascribe motives to the protagonists?

The oldies are the besties. Adblock Plus and Mouse Gestures have changed my whole world for the better for several years now. And then there's Greasemonkey and Stylish, which truly give me power over exactly how the web treats me.
