in Non-frugal spending: I bought a GPS on Bible Money Matters
In DC, the roads were drawn up by a 4 year old who had been given a years worth of candy all at once. I can't remember how many times I have gotten completely lost even to just get home from my office. I would get one as well but there are so many kinds that by the time I get done researching I have to start over. There is no price on being sure that you aren't going to end up in south east.

in What do recent interest rate drops mean for you? on Bible Money Matters
Sorry for the shameless plug, but I did some research to see how the interest rates could affect student loan consolidation. Interestingly, I found the benchmark number that student loan lenders use to determine your loan, varies from institution to institution.

in A Recession? You Bet -- but It'll Probably Be Short and Mild on Bible Money Matters
It's possible - if our commodity prices can lower and Bernanke’s rate cuts can signal some confidence in our financial institutions - that would could still possibly escape without an in-depth recession. Albeight this may not happen, but we can always hope.

in fools on brip blap
I recently saw a movie that had a nice quote in it: "A fool and his money are lucky to get together in the first place." Your post made me think of that and laugh but I can definitely relate.

Big fan of your site, and the snark.

in crowdsourcing on brip blap
I think the next big crowdsourcing app is going to be Google's Health page. It falls right along your notion of looking for another opinion but might also cut down on a lot of leg work + money: something we over at MilkYourMoney.com are tackling daily.

Here is Google Blog's announcement: http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2008/02/google-h...
