I am in the same boat. I know exactly what you mean. I have been less on the commenting lately, and more about the reading. I am loving it.

First off, Captcha makes me want to poke myself in the eye. I never know what those damn things say, and if it takes me more than 2 times to get it right, I just decline to comment. As a blogger, I think it is insulting when I feel like someone just comments on my blog in hopes of me commenting on theirs. When I first started blogging, I didn't mind, but I've moved on to wanting readers who have truly taken the time to read what I've said, even when it is crazy. I think it is always obvious when certain bloggers are out for comments; and in a neurotic fashion, make promises or discuss who and how they will comment. Comments aren't always indicative of traffic or writing quality anyway. I don't know; I just think it's played out. I'd rather have a lot of faithful readers than a lot of commenters that aren't paying attention but are merely hoping for reciprocation. (PS. I've been typing this comment FOREVER. I had to distract my kid with crayons twice.)

My husband is an auctioneer. He once gave me an antique bingo machine as a gift. OH YES HE DID!

That would be embarrassing as hell. Particularly when your life is under a microscope like that. I'd knock him upside the head...with a frying pan.

I'm pretty open about the fact that I hate showers. I mean, I like being clean and everything. But my hair is a pain in the ass to dry. If I don't shower, it's usually because I didn't feel like it. I usually shower with Allie sitting in the bathroom and usually she tries to spy on me the whole time. However, she recently took it upon herself to break our toilet while I was showering. So I now wait until she sleeps.

My father abandoned me from a distance. He paid child support, but he lived a few states away with his new family. He considered the fact that he paid the support 'parenting'. Once upon a time, he had the nerve to tell me that he always felt like he had done his part since he paid the money. It was disgusting. My mother took on both roles, mother & father. I think it's sometimes very difficult for people who had fathers around to understand what it is like to not have one. Or to have one who pretends to do his job from a distance. Anyway, enough rambling, your girls are lucky. They're lucky to have a mother like you.
