in Apple’s iPhone generates sales of $125 Million in 10 days on Roger Kondrat - Online Communicator
25 M *downloads*, not sales. Probably 90% of those are free, so all this math is off by a factor of 10.

Hi Joe, true but since the average sale price is $5 that means that regardless of how many are free there are enough being sold in the higher ranges to balance out the equation. That was how I interpreted the disparate information but yeah you could be right, that just wasn't how I interpreted it.

Netter's is good, but there's also a free flashcard app for the iPhone.

in 2008/07/11/iphone-app-store-will-kill-web-apps/ on Mashable - The Social Media Guide
As a developer, I'm still not entirely sure that there is much advantage in a native app over a web app. Obviously, for lots of apps (OpenGL based games and location sensitive apps), it is necessary, but for many other apps is somewhat superfluous. In fact, the main reason I'll be letting out a native version of my iPhone flashcard app is to make sure more people know about it. Having the app store icon right on the phone is bound to get more people into the idea of apps on their phones.
