in Episode 32: "Catching Up with DataPortability" on The Social Web TV
Great stuff- thanks for stopping by and chatting with us today David! (and thanks Kaliya for the excellent camera work!) Let's make sure we do another run soon to get into more of the details of where the DataPortability Project is heading and how folks can participate.

Also for those who are interested, additional details about what we have been up to (like the Project's 2009 Goals Elias mentioned in the video) are highlighted on our most recent (Jan/Feb) Project report : http://bit.ly/Dtd0

in I’ve redesigned on Scobleizer
hi robert- i like the new look especially the new banner but per my twitter message earlier you should semantic-ize your site.
My suggestion is what i did is to start with a simple addition of rel=me on the submenu items like this on my LinkedIn link on my blog:

LinkedIn

so your Twitter link would be
Twitter Feed

More info on rel=me including a quick video overview here:
http://microformats.org/wiki/rel-me

i am new at this and hope to be 'schooled' today at our DataPortability Project meetup where our topic is our new 'Do It Yourself' project and the first project which will revolve around rel=me. More info here: http://groups.google.com/group/dataportability-...

Some of us have been having a lot of interesting discussions around the use, so i think our conversation will be very interesting and productive this evening.

We will publish what we learn back into the community and hope that this project can involve both 'users' like you and me as well as 'developers' working on larger sites in order to identity and support technologies that will enable Data Portability.

My 80 year old grandparents in Portugal have a rotary phone. I was there for 3 weeks recently and it was driving me mad. When i first got there my cell phone's international plan wasn't working so i called AT&T-of course i could not use the prompts to get to the right person, after a long time (a long distance call) on hold finally someone came on- when i told him i couldn't hit the prompts because i was on a rotary phone the guy goes- 'what is that?' after explaining he probably though Portugal was a backwards country- i told him that my grandparents are just slow to change!

I have told them that it is not safe- if they have an emergency dialing a rotary phone is probably not the quickest way to get the ambulance to come. But she likes the way it looks (it is a nice old phone)!

in How do you know? Answer: Parking Lot Test. on loupaglia

I kinda agree~ i have had some post drafts that after some thought i decided not to post. We however are fortunate with our Factiva culture to work for a company that supports are blogging habits (let's hope it continues with DJ).

i would however disagree if you are in a parking lot with other bloggers and can't 'out' it out in the parking lot because you want to be the first to blog about it!!

in “Scoble isn’t listening,” TechCrunch commenter says on Scobleizer
i have a simple request (perhaps it is there but i can't find it?). Can you post the date that the interviews/demos are actually recorded? Some times during the interviews you may say something and i would like to know in what date context you are talking in. The only date that i see and comes through my reader is the upload/post date i think?

A production date tag of some sort along with the post/upload date across all podtech productions can also be used as another archive search feature in the future as the podtech collection grows.

thanks-

Bess- Persistence pays off and we are dying to get input. i will make sure your ethusiasim is recognized with a seat at the factiva roundtable. As you know, we have a set list of invitees but the list is starting to flush out. i have received some very interesting requests following Jeremiah's post that i wouldn't have connected with directly . more to follow directly to you next week as i finalize the lists.
BTW your email request was the one that i got right after my video response to Jeremiah . http://www.web-strategist.com/blog/2006/11/06/d...

in Best Political News? on Scobleizer
CNN has a well designed interactive site for the various races and you can drill down by zip code for local races and key ballot measures. I wouldn't go so far as to say the best political views but the interactive site is useful.

Debbie Weil who runs BlogWrite for CEOs posted on that day that Jonathan Schwartz's blog hadn't been updated in a couple of weeks (i have tracked his blog for a while and he hasn't been a 'daily' blogger). And wanted to know if he was going to be the first Fortune 500 CEO. Read her description of what happened after:
