I had one with actual mercury in it. It was in the 80s, and the blob of Mercury was pretty big. I had it for years, and the Mercury gradually degraded so that it didn't blob up again normally. If I shook the case very hard, it would spread fine drops all over the inside, which wouldn't collect up as normal. No warning about Mercury poisoning then.

My immediate thought too. $75 for glasses you cannot wash.

Or you could stop playing crappy roll and move games and start player better modern games, like Settlers Of Catan, Carcassonne, Ticket To Ride, Puerto rico, Streetsoccer oh and hundreds more.

That's great. And just think, when you want the disc that's right on the inside you only have to...remove all the discs and hold them or put them down so they scratch each other and do you even think about things before pasting any old PR puff?

Fantastic! Very interesting. I'm a little wary of the special fluid though. I bet a leak and fluid top up will cost a lot.

As for price, don't expect that to drop. Price is determined by profit. They'll keep the price as high as possible as long as possible. What's the point of selling twice as much product if it makes less profit? Price only comes down when a maker is competing for market share. When competing makers are happy with their share, they operate a cartel to keep prices up and profits up.

I don't understand why a common keybord does not have holes or gaps to allow the crumbs to pass out anyway. If you look at all the crud that lies just below the Space bar, why not have an indent or a channel to let it be cleaned out? Why block the user from a normal cleaning method. Blimus!

That should read "a DEAD ant holding a microchip". They can't take electro-scanning pictures of insects that move around. It's more likely they killed the ant, then glued a chip in it's mouth, then did the picture. So, who cares about an ant? Well, it's the principle of the thing. I mean, would it be a cool picture if it was a dead puppy with a micro-chip in it's mouth? Or a butterfly? Should one kill a creature just to get a cool picture?

A theory does not mean an unsubstantiated guess or hunch. A theory is a logically self-consistent model or framework for describing the behavior of a related set of natural or social phenomena.

Why does it matter? In the fight, and yes, it is a fight, for Reason to to triumph over Belief, we need to use the right words in the correct way. Because if we let belief win, we have never-ending religious war.

So there's no such thing as only a theory. Theories are big, solid, sound and strong. They are open to change and even replacement, but they ain't just a hunch.

The children's pedal merry go round reminded me of this clever modern use for the energy of kids. They push a merry go round which is actually driving a water pump. The kids have fun, the parents get fresh clean water.
