What I want to do with this:
make my own personal 3D showcase
Show private designs to people I invite.
What you can do:
Design a machine place it in a digital factory walk around it with some one on the other side of the world.


And.........make the whole internet 3D!

All this is not yet possible, but i hope at least the custom content will be possible in the near future.

hmm I was looking to that contest but:

I think it's about the prize money if only you could win a car or something then I could enter :(

i have 2008 on my nw8440 mobile workstation and it works just fine.
And it only has 2 gig of ram.
But your always limited in complexity of you products on every computer. I am always finding that limit... :(

The hardest thing about a robot is the programming not the mechanical stuff.
But simulating it in solidworks would be cool, but simulating using a game engine would be cooler :)

Its like the unfold solidworks menu.

I try to exit with the feature I need. Some times I start with the feature and exit with double click but lots when I need extrude i just hit the shortcut e and exit into extrude mode.

If i have this @ work I will never come out of it it wouldn't be very social..
If you put some hydrolic legs under it you can terrorize your company as mechaCAD worker :)

CAD designer it only has 4 NVIDIA 9800GX2 but it cost less then 4000 and that is less then the best CAD PC out there.

if you want quality use png always use png if you do not have to put it on the internet ;)

s is the s menu
d is normal to
q is for edit selected part (there is no edit selected assembly :( )
It like fps game control but then for solidworks
I think a gaming keyboard would be nice for solidworks :)

Posting it on youtube and using windows search is just evil. But the video looks pretty good i only think there over simplified the design process it looks like copy paste work right now.

LOL it looks like a loft gone bad between a sketch of a table and a small closet in a angle of 90 degree.

You also need to buy a huge screen.

I'm doing a itern ship and I am using a lot of tips from this site and from swgeeks. And I am using more features then most of my colleges and I jsut started... (6 months). So tip 1 hire some motivated swgeek student :) or get your self an expert status and a megaphone.Also de basic functions are to easy to use and you can do almost everything with them, so user stop looking deeper.BTW, The Width mate RULES thx swgeek :)

Here a cool download that transforms your xp style into vista style. It is recommend to not install the programs only the style.
