The new program offers more of an incentive.

It also says alot about big business vs. small business. Larger businesses are not as flexible to make changes based on the feedback they receive. Smaller companies can make those changes with out getting approval from a bunch of middle managers. And, if those are options that can easily be changed and don't require major programming changes, why not?

I put WidgetBucks on my PetBoogaloo site. I really like the ads it serves up, and the product comparisons it makes. It will be interesting to see how it performs in comparison to Adsense.

Rita Wilhelm

Re: Monopoly Buxx With Hidden Links – WidgetBucks Review

Personally, it doesn't bother me that they changed their affiliate structure. I love looking at the profiles and links. You learn a lot about people.

I didn't realize that you could add Twitter to Technorati. I'm going to do that now.

I'll also do a search for you on Twitter and follow you. :-)

Re: Aha Hmm Mumble Shhh

I have just started using Twitter and have been having a great time with it. You had listed some great plugins. I chose to go with the Lucia Linky Love plugin, which does seem to have some good spam controls in there.

Re: Why You Should Nofollow Your Blog Comments?

I just changed my blog over to a dofollow blog last week. I think you will survive. You've got a list, and you are networked very well in the blogosphere, and in different online communities ( like Gooruze.com). I have an ebook that I wrote called The Dollars and Sense of Online Communities, and I believe that networking in the Web2.0 world is one of the best marketing strategies available. Statistics show that the majority of people spend their time on the internet reading content that other people have written... and most of that is not through search. As long as you are in the path of your target audience, they will find you.

And... more people are going to be talking about what you are doing in their blogs, and in different forums, which in turn will drive more traffic to your site as people will want to see how you are doing.

You might even see an improvement in results!

Re: Googlebot Just Got The Boot.

Yikes... you are brave.

Still. ( And now just FYI- I am now following you!). lol My twitter is http://www.twitter.com/rita012 .

You were talking about Goldman Sachs. I'm very concerned about all the trading that's been happening on futures. Not only is it impacting the oil prices, but it is having a huge effect on grains prices, which is impacting the world food crisis. Poor people in places like Haiti are seeing their food prices go up 60 plus %!

Re: Political Affairs Magazine - McCain-Palin Campaign Dipped in Oil

I agree. It makes me sick that we are in recession, and yet oil companies are cashing in.

Here's a really great interview worth watching with the author of "The Tyranny of Oil". She explains how the big oil companies are at the top of their financial and political power in the U.S. while at the same time, they are facing the extinction of their product. And, rather than investing in alternative energy, they are working to get their hands on as much remaining oil as possible- working with governments to accomplish this. She also talks about how we as ordinary citizens can band together to stop this. It's very interesting.

http://community.progressivebookclub.com/page/c...

Re: Is there any return on investment in social media?

Hi Charles,

I could not agree more with you! You've done a great job in organizing your findings in a meaningful way. It all comes down to the relationship that you build. And... isn't that how it is in the non-virtual world as well?

Rita Wilhelm

Re: 200+ Internet Marketing Gurus on Twitter

Love to have twitter name listed : http://twitter.com/Rita012

Thanks!

Rita Wilhelm's last blog post..Tissa Godavitarne review- Why I joined the Tissa Godavitarne People Search Program
