I have that paperback of Master of space and time - it's one of Rucker's best books, though it went out of print for some time. Despite having some basis in credible(-sounding) science, it's much more readable and less dense than some of his more recent work (Frek and the Elixir comes to mind).

I've been looking forward to a movie of this for a while, though I really hope Jack Black isn't the protagonist (as rumors claimed long ago). This movie calls for someone smarter and a little less... manic. I could see somebody making a case for him as mad inventor from Envy, but really the role needs someone else.

And of course the Gary-brain attack is just screaming out to be Gondry-ized.

Cheaper units are available from LEDShoppe and Fifthunit, among other places. Much cheaper, though I cannot vouch for their quality (nor either merchants').

So this is, what, a virtual reality tub? With the screen so big you'll swear those other people are there in the tub with you?

SYNC magazine has a bunch of fake gadgets and products every month. This isn't real.

Yet to be produced? Perhaps that very one, as I'm sure I've seen smaller versions of that that made little hemispherical ice cubes sold before using that very same trick.

The real question is: is it stackable?
