There's no foreseeable end to them. Carpet. Bathroom remodels. Painting. Painting. PAINTING!

I could certainly use a bit of Hawaii to change into.

Re: Beardhead Giveaway

As a bald guy (30% by nature and 70% by choice), winters are brutal. For Spring Break, I can never go anywhere cold. We always go somewhere warm. While I wouldn't have used a Beardhead on my best Spring Break trip eve, the Bahamas, I would have used it this morning. It's Friggin' COLD in Baltimore this week! My wife knitted me a skullcap, but I would much rather wear the Beardhead. (Nobody tell her that)

Re: The Hard Way

Fantastic! I've been following the blog for a while just for this type if insight and inspiration.

I am entering the second phase of my "whip yer body into shape, you gooey piece of fluff" fitness regimen and have been cringing about how hard it's been. Hard, but rewarding. My spirits drop when the dish of Italian bread gets passed by me and my co-workers dig into their carb-laden dishes. But when they talk about their "easy" stuff that's not working and look at me and make a comment about the results they can see, I remember that the hard work is worth it.

This was just the piece of writing I needed today. Thank you!

Re: Doc & Data 404ever

My current 404 was a quick replacement for a much more witty one involving Obi Wan Kenobi telling the reader "this is not the page you're looking 404." That one was cute, but I like the current one just fine. http://thinkinganddriving.com/404.shtml

Simple.

Re: The Girl With The Golden Yo-Yo

There are no words to describe this.

Re: The Latest Kindle: Bigger, Not Better, Than Its Sibling

If Amazon could bring the native PDF reading to the Kindle 2, I would probably agree that the larger DX model doesn't bring much to the table. However, I think, aside from the larger format, the ability to self-load PDF documents without needing to go through Amazon's email service is the key feature.

I am about to take a job where I'll need literally hundreds of government-published regulations and guidance documents available. I will also be train commuting. Being able to have these handy and readable on the train makes the extra cost and size well worth it.

I'm sure the Kindle 2 is more than sufficient for the avid, recreational reader. The DX, however brings a few things to the table for academic or professional users that the Kindle 2 missed.
