in The Hard Way on Art of Manliness
Fantastic! I've been following the blog for a while just for this type if insight and inspiration.

I am entering the second phase of my "whip yer body into shape, you gooey piece of fluff" fitness regimen and have been cringing about how hard it's been. Hard, but rewarding. My spirits drop when the dish of Italian bread gets passed by me and my co-workers dig into their carb-laden dishes. But when they talk about their "easy" stuff that's not working and look at me and make a comment about the results they can see, I remember that the hard work is worth it.

This was just the piece of writing I needed today. Thank you!

in Beardhead Giveaway on Art of Manliness
As a bald guy (30% by nature and 70% by choice), winters are brutal. For Spring Break, I can never go anywhere cold. We always go somewhere warm. While I wouldn't have used a Beardhead on my best Spring Break trip eve, the Bahamas, I would have used it this morning. It's Friggin' COLD in Baltimore this week! My wife knitted me a skullcap, but I would much rather wear the Beardhead. (Nobody tell her that)

in The Original Hawaiiabera Giveaway | The Art of Manliness on Art of Manliness
Unfortunately, my weekends recently have been occupied with home improvement projects. There's no foreseeable end to them. Carpet. Bathroom remodels. Painting. Painting. PAINTING!

I could certainly use a bit of Hawaii to change into.

in Doc & Data 404ever on Doc Pop's Blog
My current 404 was a quick replacement for a much more witty one involving Obi Wan Kenobi telling the reader "this is not the page you're looking 404." That one was cute, but I like the current one just fine. http://thinkinganddriving.com/404.shtml

Simple.

I have found that the best way to persuade or influence someone is to identify the fundamentals of their position and relate that to yours. in this way, you show them that your position is not contrary to theirs; it's complimentary.

Works wonders.
