Nice post and right on target! Almost every day i deal with this issue as "the wider world" talks about blogs and social media in the same tone. Then you add in few tag clouds, comments, article ratings and people start thinking they have a social media strategy on their hands. At this time with social media we can measure engagement (which is priceless) but the holy grail of conversion is missing for now. I am sure we will soon follow the traditional retail model of engagement. Once again great post. Keep it coming. Bob.
