We were able to cover sudden shortages of power for the grid in as little as 20 minutes if we had units that were down but still "hot."  This would be impossible with wind, solar, or even hydro if there was no additional wind, sun, or water.  People don't realize that nearly all of their electricity comes from high-pressure steam.  It is an amazing product.
