in Modern Global Warming Hysteria Just Repackaged Pagan Religion on Dakota Voice
In fact, the easiest and cheapest way to make more energy available for use is to improve efficiency of what we do use. So our efforts to ameliorate global warming will actually save us money. But the carbon-based fuels industries don't want you to do that, so they tell you that increased efficiency is unAmerican and not God's plan.

Actually, the easiest and cheapest way to make more energy available for use is to drill more oil and built more nuclear power plants. Unfortunately, the earth-worshipping environmental wackos have a fit when you propose either.

in Letter: Transgender rights bill addresses equality, not just bathrooms on Andover Townsman
The preceding letter by Zoô Bull gets it exactly right. I can only add that these laws don't just protect transgendered people. They protect everyone from being discriminated against because they aren't as feminine or as masculine as someone else thinks they should be.

in Maine School Discriminates Against Heterosexual Boy on Dakota Voice
What does this ten year old know about the other kid? What does his grandfather know about the kid? It's only a problem when people like them try to make it a problem

If a homosexual boy can use a female's restroom, why not the heterosexual boy? Why discriminate against the heterosexual boy?

in More Restroom Follies on Dakota Voice
These laws have existed in various states and cities as far back as 30 years. Can you find any examples where those laws have caused problems? The laws aren't just about bathrooms, they're about jobs, housing, and access to credit. Places where unavoidable nudity may occur are exempt. Churches and religious organizations are exempt. In no case do they allow men in women's facilities, including restrooms. The point is simply that it's unacceptable to discriminate against a person because they aren't as masculine or as feminine as you think they should be.

That's not what the law says.
And it isn't "discrimination" to expect men to use the men's room and women to use the women's room. A quick look between the legs will clear up any confusion in almost all cases.

in Leopard iChat: Use Video Special Effects and Backdrops | Mac OS X Leopard | Tech-Recipes on Tech-Recipes
I was able to figure that out for myself. The problem is, it doesn't work.
I open 'video effects' and when I click on iPhoto to select an image to drag, the 'video effects' window disappears. It reappears when I select iChat again.

in Discrimination very real for transgender people on Nashua Telegraph
Transgender people can't be "cured" for the same reason that left-handed people can't be cured: because there's nothing wrong with them.
So let's quit trying to sort people into categories of transgender identities. To do that is to assume that there's something pathological about being trans. We don't have formal categories for heterosexuals or cisgendered (i.e., non-trans) people. So don't put trans people in boxes, either. Just let people be who they are.

Unfortunately, Kris, people have put us in a box and kept us there for years. So before we can be seen as normal, we need laws to protect us from descrimination. Of coarse there's nothing wrong with Transgendered people. Hopefully in the years to come, other people will see it that way.
I don't think I've heard that argument from Exxon, Shell or BP, rbx, but I have heard similar assertions from many on the Left who have proven themselves to be anti-American and anti-God.
"So our efforts to ameliorate global warming will actually save us money."
How so? Most of the proposals that I've seen from radical "environmentalists" and global warming hoaxers call for increased taxes on energy, spending huge amounts of tax-payer money on dubious technologies, huge fines for companies and individuals that fail to adhere to every obscure regulation imposed by self-serving bureaucrats and enormous new government agencies to apply and enforce regulations that would impinge on virtually every aspect of our lives.
Government needs to get out of the way and let the energy industries get to work solving our energy needs and our dependence on foreign oil.
