It's worth pointing out that you can actually limit your daily spend on adwords, so if he set a cap of £10/day, he'd easily avoid a bill of "thousands".

I think you're being a bit harsh saying Vimeo is "Yet Another YouTube clone, with pretty aesthetics". They're geared towards people that create their own content, therefore there will never generate the same amount of content as sites like youtube but it will always be better.
They also support high definition video and yes, the user experience is superior (this is down to more than just aesthetics).

Looks like icerocket is growing nicely, it seems to have much more consistent growth than the others. Interestingly it has the most simplistic homepage/results page of the bunch, very google-esque.

I keep meaning to write a post about openID, there are definitely some flaws with it at the moment. It's a very cool idea though, if you haven't heard Simon Willison's presentation from FOWA it's a great listen.

Thanks for the review :) I've actually got a fairly long list of new features to build on in the near future, which includes multiple podchains and tagging. We're also looking into bringing in some social features. The auto-detection is something we tried out initially but it was very buggy and our thoughts were that a user would rather put the info in themselves and have it work than try a buggy auto-detection system and be presented with errors.
Thanks again for the comments, we're definitely building on them.
