But it is difficult to get started. It is just that when I see a bad video, I don't want that to be me - and for it to be captured forever. I think I'm going to start with some screen casts ;).

Re: 10 Tips For Getting New Twitter Followers

Great tips David. I came in looking for followers, but now I'm off to read why it who you follow is more important :).

Re: The Hidden X-Factor That Causes Some Blogs To Grow Faster Than Others

David, I think the underlying force here is the recognition that "traffic" is people. Multimedia content and Social Media distribution (and I would further argue active commenting) are just ways to reveal that you are an actual human, not just "content" sitting on a blog. Promoting a blog takes a lot of social engineering.

Re: 2007/09/23/acebucks/

If you're interested in Acebucks, please also check out Zuckerbucks (<a href="http://apps.facebook.com/zuckerbucks/" rel="nofollow">http://apps.facebook.com/zuckerbucks/</a>). Google has a head start with widgets and ease of integration, but Facebook has the user base and profile data. It seems like Facebook can only be a short-term winner.

Re: Add a Comment, Get Twitter Followers

Social Media Hacker and Seattle based software developer. I am curious how much this "promote your business" aspect has lead to their success.

Re: The Blog Bling Mixer

Thanks for hosting this Peter! As for the purpose of this, allowing someone to log in with their Facebook credentials potentially allows their friends to see that they've subscribed to your blog (giving you more exposure). As opposed to a Gravatar, which has no social network behind it.

Re: Updated: Buddy Media Raises $1.5 Million to Make Money From Facebook Virtual Currency Acebucks

I need a partner like Mike Lazerow for Zuckerbucks :)!

Re: Who Was Listening in 2008: The Results

This is one that only us developer guys will care about. HostGator did a great job of replying to any tweet I made referencing them this year. I admire any company that is trying out Social Media, it can be a lot of work!
