It wasn't to deflect attention away from Palin's interview, or the Rick Davis revelations.  I don't think they were trying to delay the VP Debate or necessarily dodge this one.  The polls were showing Obama momentum and it was just a ploy to stem that tide.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;It was a half-baked move that McCain or somebody in that room thought would work.  They knew that whatever the outcome, they still have a media they can spin.
