I'm with you. I HATE Dirty Santa and look for any opportunity to avoid playing. I was supposed to play at a holiday party earlier this week and completely forgot to bring a gift. I was just helping myself out subconsciously, don't you think??

Hey, congratulations!! What an honor, and it sounds like it went so well.

I ended up with a similar calculation from my home in East Nashville to my office on West End. Mine is slightly complicated by needing to drop off one child at school in East Nashville, and one at day care on West End. Still, if there were no transfer, it would be feasible for me. But the transfer kills it -- makes my work day too short if I am to drop child at school no earlier than 7:45 a.m. and pick the other up no later than 5:30 p.m.

Sigh.

Maybe this is what we should do in Davidson County, where [unlike all other parts of Tennessee that I'm aware of] fireworks are illegal year-round. Because despite the law, people take matters into their own hands for a weekend or two before and after major holidays [Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, New Year's....etc.] Last night, Sunday night, my neighbor went outside at 10:37 p.m. and started shooting off fireworks. Right outside my bedroom window. On what planet is that acceptable???

I have one or two. Not in Spanish, LOL. Will they still be useful?? When do you leave? Is it too late??
