I like this idea, would be a good place for artists to go and seek inspiration with other artists for their next work of art

That's pretty cool but also fairly sad at the sametime. I wonder if anyone has built a software version of etch-a-sketch?

Good for you! I often say to people if you can't find what your are looking for in terms of art, have a go at doing your own art.

some interesting points there and as times get harder in terms of the economy then it might be a sensible idea to make your own art.

I understand where you are coming from in terms of your views however kids like differential, girls like to be different from boys and vice versa. Girls like to think they are superior over boys, with their Barbies and pink and boys like to think they are superior with their action men and blue.

Marci Oh, boys will always be gross and girls will always have cooties. There will always be some way to continue the battle of the sexes. That's not really my issue - what bothers me are the subtle pressures to conform to the pink princess stereotype.

I know of Roy Nachum and his work is excellent! Looking at the above designs you can see real passion in his work.

You did this with just pens? V.good! I'm interested to know why you decided to use pens as oppose to acrylics?

I was about to say that it sounds increadible if it can comment on images but it depends what its commenting on, if it just says verticle line, horizontal line, blue colour, pink colour, etc then its got a long way to go. Nice idea though.

The link regarding DNA as art is cool, lots of people are concerned about originality when buying art, If the art was made out of your own DNA, it would be 100% original. (Unless you had a twin).

I live in London and I would say the skull painting would have equal significance in London as in California however i'm not sure pink sums up london I would say grey sums up London.

in …Graffiti removal can be art? on Didn't You Hear...
With my paintings on canvas I use a lot of underpainting technique and scape the top layer off with either sandpaper or, when wet, with a scraper. It would be interesting to see this used with graffiti.

I don't see why it couldn't be Maria as Abstract art especially abstract expressionism doesn't demand precise technique, so a child could do it and if the father was an artist its more than likely that he would teach her how to paint.
