Kråkfåglar har jag alltid tyckt varit ganska smarta. Däremot förvånas jag över att det finns så mycket duvor i städerna, för _de_ är korkade. Ett gäng kajor borde liksom kunna spöa upp duvorna och ta över, tycker man.

Blue dress fo shiz!

My prom was fun, wasn't so long ago and I remember my date wearing something slightly avant-garde, in terms of the usual prom color choices. Le sigh, it was a local designer original though (she showed me this huge box it came in) and had people gasping, haha not really but I had an awesome time still. Couldn't have asked for more.

You study in the West Coast right? What about in the summer when it's hot?

Personally, I would love a no tee shirt dress code but the weather in the Philippines just does not permit. In my university, the heat is a giant factor that dictates what everyone wears (usually jeans, shirt for guys, tanks and shorts for girls, flip flops for everyone). As is the case anywhere in the Philippines, except I guess if you work in an office that needs subzero temperatures for computer servers. I digress, but yea even in temperature conditioned environments, the air is still pervasively hot. It just will not work here.

It's funny because I think about it and yes--there are a lot of girls in my school (and some boys) who insist on wearing cardigans and vests to everyday classes. I applaud them, they do look good but it's just not practical because the minute they step out of the classroom, the sweat just goes through all their clothes. It's a really sad sight, wouldn't you agree? Oh well.

I just wish it was more temperate here so I could get away with wearing all of my hoodies to school. I just bring them all the time in the sheer hope that it rains (it's summer now, SO HOT)

Mira de verdd que esto es imposible, ya lo modifican a gusto. sinceramente me da mucha bronca , me miro todos los partidos y me encanta el gran dt, pero por ejemplo salvio , da lña vida en la cancha se corre todo esta en todas y hoy hasta un gol hizo y no digo q salga figura pero un 5??????? y sand q no toco 1 un 6?? y ensima figura ?? no lo entiendo.. hacer dar bronca lo peor es q la gente se da cuenta, y bolatti igual, jugara bien todo pero por ejemplo los partidos pasados si toco 5 pelotas es mucho y le clavan un 8 y a pastore q se jugo todo e hizo dos goles un 9 nunca un 10 igual q la fecha q la rompio caraglio en sarandi...loco media pila y q juzguen con criterio y no sean chantas...

I agree that companies should reflect their clients diversity to remain effective and profitable. But it's not clear why this is necessary. Playing Devil's Advocate... Nations readily service and trade with each other. Japanese corps successfully sell cars in the US. India's outsourcing firms service US companies. You can argue that they would do better if they reflected their US customers more, but not very convincingly.

I would add that diversity is necessary for solving increasingly complex problems including servicing a diverse customer base. Given competitive pressures amongst other factors, business problems have never been more complex. This places a stricter standard of diversity. Not only should you hire from various ethnic and racial groups etc., you must ensure that their experience, knowledge and more generally, what they bring to the problem solving table, is in fact different. I'll extend this argument and claim that companies are better off diverse even if their customers aren't... in light of their competition.

Jag tror på kryss i första matchen. Liverpool har alltid stora problem mot Everton som verkligen har täppt igen bakåt. En tuff match med få mål som förmodligen slutar oavgjort.

Man känner självklart lite press då man ändå rekar "offentligt" och därmed lägger man säker dubbelt så mycket jobb på research jämfört med annars. Själva spel-bloggandet är nog lite väl ouppskattat av folk tyvärr, men många förstår inte hur mycket arbete som ligger bakom förrän de själva provar att blogga ;)

Halvsyskon får inte ingå äktenskap med varandra utan tillstånd av myndighet som anges i 15 kap. 1 §.

Med andra ord kan halvsyskon ingå äktenskap om särskilda tillstånd ges. Sedan huruvida det är etiskt korrekt kan ju diskuteras ??

Of course Europeans are used to pockets full of coins and have been for years. However, there are also getting used to chip cards in their pockets and hence a reduction in the neutral callings. Most parking meters in Amsterdam take chip cards, as will public transport and an increasing number of vending machines, alongside small stores for small amounts.
So maybe this is an opportunity to skip coins and move straight on to electronic money.jhkjs

Att köra bil drogpåverkad och riskera andra människors liv är alltså en mindre förseelse än att dela ut en film på DC. Ungefär som att de som begår våldsbrott sitter inspärrade ett par år, medan ekonomiska brottslingar kan bli inspärrade i uppåt 10 år. Rättssystemet känns jävligt bakvänt ibland...

Some points need further explanation:

Yahoo, ICQ and AIM will be connected soon, i.e. in the coming weeks really.

Other than MSN, you add your GTalk contacts one by one currently. With MSN / Live Messenger you import your complete MSN roster. For Gtalk we will come out with the option to import your complete GTalk contactlist at once in one of the next releases. The main thing here is that the Nimbuzz audience has a split opinion on this. Some like piece-by-piece others like the import more. We'll find an easy way for both.

Then the calling option on Nimbuzz:

To take away any misunderstanding we’d like to add the following:

Using Nimbuzz on your mobile phone requires a GPRS dataplan (UMTS or EDGE is not needed). With this data connection the Nimbuzz application is in contact with our infrastructure. For Chat and Text messages this is all you need. No additional costs.

When you call another Nimbuzz buddy on his mobile or PC your call request is transmitted via GPRS to our one of our servers. The server then sends the Nimbuzz call-in number to the Nimbuzz application on your mobile phone. The application releases that number and you can call in using GSM. I do have a program which limits a users acces on a winNT/2K/XP account. It is still under development - no fancy GUI yet :-) It runs as a service and a person will need administrator rights in order to disable it.

Pricing hasn't been an issue yet but I'll guess EUR 19.95 will be the price for the final product.

During my research I did find another product which had the same fuctionallity (a then some) - I believe it was called KidWatch or something similar.

I'll guess I'll have my program up and running at the end of this month (september 2004) or shortly thereafter. The no-GUI version is running at my home with (2 kids and a total 5 computers).

I'd like to point out that in France, where this video seems to have been shot, 78% of the electricity comes from nuclear plants (according to french wikipedia). They also state that you can plug in your car at home to recharge the car, which avoids intermediate storage (and thus energy waste).

I'd also say that even if the energy comes from coal, it is a lot easier to maintain and monitor the pollution coming from tens of thousand of powerplants, than it is to properly maintain millions of cars. But that is true for a lot of other 'alternative' engines.

It would also be interesting to see the noise levels of such engines. Seems low, but nothing beats electrical :)

Alla som kan något om fotboll och som följde med på¨fysiklektionerna i skolan vet att det är fysiskt omöjligt för en så stor och tung kille som Zlatan att löpa lika mycket som en liten kille som Messi. Han kan säkert om han vill löpa ännu mer än vad han gör nu.. det kommer antagligen med tiden. Han pressade Athleticos backlinje bra i första halvlek men i andra såg man att orken dog ut. Hur som helst så är min poäng att man inte kan kräva att Zlatan ska löpa runt som en speedad duracellkanin med tanke på att han är så stor och inte är helt i fysisk form.

Det kan du fortsätta drömma om han är en enormt stor MFFare, bl.a tagit två guld med klubben, dessutom så kommer han antagligen fortsätta att vara aktiv inom klubben antingen som en del i styrelsen eller enbart hålla på med marknadsföring och försäljning vilket passar honom som handen i handsken.

Det är fantastiskt hur de flesta journalister ska försöka få det till att MFF supportrar inte uppskattat Hasses jobb, herregud vad tar ni oss för först Asfelts direkt pinsamma krönika i blaskan och nu du Lundh. Hasse har titeln: Sportchef, titelns innebörd kan diskuteras inte minst senast när Madsen basunerade ut på de senaste medlemsmötena att det minsann var han som rekryterat de senaste tränarna plus Sören. För mig innebär det att han är ytterst ansvarig för det sportsliga och på det planet kan väll ingen vettig människa anse att Malmö lyckats på de senaste 5 åren.

I sak är det väl inte svårt instämma, men det är likväl en slags ödets ironi att den som framhäver det (som visserligen mycket väl kan leva för klubben och fotbollen, även om två matcher på tre år pekar på det motsatta), precis som den publik han omgärdas av är en fotbollsturist. Jag som följer ett lokalt lag har svårt att se varför man skall åka 150 mil till Storbritannien för att "känna av atmosfären" när man kan vara med och skapa den på hemmaplan. Vill inte låta som ett pretentiöst as men fotboll är framförallt inte något man ser på, utan något man lever varje dag, och det är svårt att göra det på riktigt om ens lag spelar i ett land som ligger långt borta.

Skulle tvärtom vilja säga att han är en av de mest underskattade i PL. Jag ser alla Villas matcher och i de senaste 2 år har han varit den genomgående bästa spelaren i Villa.

Moreover we also own www.getgspace.com a cool firefox extension that allows you to store your documents in Gmail. Again no prob.

Det är lätt att bli upprörd över mycket när det gäller barn och föräldraskap. Jag hoppas du inte missat "edutainement"-svängen (entertainment+education). Visst kan en ettåring lära sig läsa!. En lite mer nyanserad bild kan fås från repotaget the Rushed Infant.

Vad det gäller kalasen tror jag dock att inställningen beror på hur livssituationen faktiskt ser ut när det väl är aktuellt med att ha (eller inte ha) ett hyrkalas. Jag väntar alltså med min åsikt några år till...

Kan inte annat än hålla med. Att kräva att en webbsite ska hålla koll på ens ungar är fullkomlig galenskap.

För det första kan ingen hålla reda på vad alla medlemmar gör (iaf om de är fler än ett dussintal). Det är omöjligt, det går inte. Ingen människa kan göra det för att de är för mycket information, och ingen dator kan göra det för att den saknar människans förmåga att avgöra vad som är "rätt" och "fel".

För det andra går åldrar att fejka. Det kvittar hur man försöker, för det går inte att skydda sig mot det. Man kan försöka "kontrollera" personnummer om man vill, men de är löjligt lätta att fejka. I USA behöver man inte ens fejka ett personnummer, eftersom de inte har några. Man kan låtsas vara precis hur gammal eller ung man är.

För det tredje (och viktigaste) så är det faktiskt inte deras ansvar. Att en 19-åring förgriper sig på en 14-åring han har träffat på MySpace är lika lite MySpaces fel som det är Parkförvaltningens fel att fula farbröder lockar till sig småpojkar och småflickor i parken. Alla med en liten gnutta sunt förnuft borde kunna begripa det.

Jag är överhuvudtaget trött på att alla alltid ska ha någon att skylla på. "Det är MySpaces fel att min dotter blev våldtagen", "Det är McDonalds fel att jag är tjock", och så vidare, och så vidare. Ta lite ansvar själva för fan. Förvänta er inte att någon annan ska lära era ungar sunt förnuft, gör det själva. Och gör ni inte det så ge fan i att skylla på andra när något händer.

Kan tilläggas att jag själv har drivit en stor community för ungdomar, så jag vet vad som händer där, och framför allt vet jag hur mycket skit man får från föräldrar som vägrar befatta sig med det faktum att det är deras ungjävels egna fria vilja att besöka en webbsida. Vill de inte ha ungen på min site så är det deras problem att hålla honom eller henne borta därifrån, inte mitt. Det kanske låter lite hårt, men man blir förbannat trött på sån skit efter ett tag.

2009 Yamaha Vino 50 gets 132MPG, has a catalytic converter and other cleaner burn technologies... How can a Hummer come anywhere near to that? Even if per cubic centimeter, the Vino burns dirtier.... There has to be more pollution in a single cycle of any car's motor than this bike can produce. The amount of fuel a Hummer consumes in a single cycle would create way more pollution than a 50cc motor, it's just impossible.

När jag tänker på norsk fotboll så dyker Ole gunnar solkjaer upp i huvudet. Och en massa bra backar som spelat i premier league. Känns också som att Drillo har influerat norsk fotboll oerhört mycket. Hur ser norsk fotbolls framtid ut.. tar tränarna influenser från utlandet som tex Barca eller Man united? Eller de kör med den gamla vanliga sparka spring säkra bakåt filosofin? Jag jobbar på en skola i Tyresö, och kan ju säga att bara att Tyresö FF lyckats ta sig såhär långt har gjort att det blivit ett uppsving i intresset för damfotboll bland barnen. Interesting it is, however this has already been done for the N series(N82,N95 & N96) by intrepid freeware developers(and quite obviously leeched by some folks!!!)...i must say playing Quake on TV with the accelerometer on my N82 is real fun*. The big question right now is whether the notoriously slow iphone app development process will ruin any real chance of it giving the Wii a run for its money.

*- did i forget to mention... they have ported Quake onto the N series, and it does pack sufficient juice to run the damn thing....time was when u used to run Quake on ur PC after quitting all other applications...sigh.....

I agree, how fast a vehicle goes 0-60 has little to do with majority of auto accidents. Careless driving is the main culprit. There is no "stand for reason" in this equation. Careless driving is the key...

alcohol, drugs, under-age, theft, criminal mischief...

If anything, a more powerful, aggressive vehicle is much safer (better up to speed, stopping, handling, and emergency manuevering abilities).

I think Mr. Leno is doing something wonderful. The more spotlight on "green" oriented vehicles the better. Let's shutdown the petro industry!

I too have cut my energy usage a lot here in california (from $20+ down to $4 this last month!) I live alone so it makes it easier, but this is what i have done for those of you interested:

1. Only plugged in devices when i needed to use them except refrigerator, electric oven, answering machine and phone (yes, a landline phone ha!)

2. Turned off the pilot to my gas heater (saw gas bill drop from around $6-8 down to 13 cents!) The thing was using a lot of gas even when i wasn't even using it! I bought a space heater just for when i really needed to warm up a room, not the HOUSE.

3. Changed all lights to CFLs (which is a given)

4. Used natural lighting as long as possible! It is amazing how much nicer natural lighting can be on the eyes and how much of a difference it makes by turning off your lights during the day. What is the need for lights when the sun is out?

5. I am lucky my landlords pay for the water heating bill; i would be interested to see how I could do if it were not a shared utility at our apartment.

However, for (future) homeowners, if I understand right, tankless water heaters are much more efficient. They use energy when they are being used, not a constant gas/pilot to heat water even when not in use. EVEN MORE THAN THAT, they take us MUCH LESS room than traditional ones. Check it out:

the electricity here costs about 5 times as much as it seems to cost for you, so over here it would pay off in less than 10 years. i think on most of europe the electricity price is at least 0.1 USD (3 times over your specified margin), and besides saving money, one could also accidentally save the planet.

I been using human-powered forklifts my whole professionell life, 20 years. The forklift pictured in the article and the lifts at genie-lift.com seem complicated and outright stupid. Lifts powered with a hand crank is hard to operate, very slow and give you repetitive strain injuries. A better choice is a fork lift with a long heave.

Here is a fork lift that looks useful. Similar models are made by many manufacturers. The handle is used both for steering and elevating.

With a good lift (not the one in my picture, it only manage 800 kg), you can elevate a metric ton 1.5 meters within 2 minutes , without breaking a sweat.

As a sidenote: In Sweden we use electric fork lifts in warehouses. Battery life is a source of problem but using propane would mean that we couldn't isolate the warehouses properly.

Wow, you skeptics are so tiring.

It really hacks me off that so many folks think that there is no point doing anything about the issue.

Efficiency can only be seen as a good "thing", have you considered the effects that the drilling for oil causes people who live in areas such as the Niger delta.

Perhaps that in its self is reason enough to follow this course and let the folks who still think the earth is flat sit smug in their opinion.

So easy to critises and put down, the whole issue of climate change not being in PART due to human activities is driven by the likes of exxon who have spent $16 million to cloud the issue!

The "serious" names are much sillier, which is why they have to be rendered in "exotic" languages - anyone with the slightest sense of humour would be embarrassed to talk about a whale called "Peace", "Spirit of the Wind", "Divine Power of the Ocean", "Conscience", or "Free" in English.

The only possible alternative to Mr Splashy Pants is "Paikea", which means "humpback whale", and is therefore fair enough...

The real estate is one sector that features as one of the most badly hit sectors following the global economic meltdown. Another very problematic issue that the real estate dealers are facing is that patrons of the currently booked flats are not willing to pay the original price that they had agreed on but the current price that is less than the original amount owing to the current economic condition. Not only the residential units but the commercial properties like the hotels in Bangalore have also naturally seen a drop in their occupancy. The ITC hotels in Bangalore that registered the highest occupancy, as high as 83%, have been forced to cut down on their tariffs by almost 20% as the occupancy has also gone down by 20%. On the contrary, the business hotels in Bangalore are surviving the tough times as the number of business travelers has not been affected as hard as the umber of leisure hotels. The budget hotels in Bangalore have seen a hike owing to the obvious reasons.

I grew up in Richton Park and lived there for 12 years. My parents moved me away because they did not want me attending Rich South High School. The neighborhood was changing and not the safest.

Having said that, I went to Lincoln-Way East High school and graduated from there. I met Maureen Jagmin on one occassion, and it was akward (she was boasting about her son to me at batting cages).

It's sad, but her comments, while resemble the truth in a way, she 1) is a public official and needs to watch what she says... 2) her choice of words was poor. Calling those schools a "zoo" and using "poor blackie" is terrible. I understand she did not realize she was being recorded... but as a public official, what you say can and will be used against you if need be. Her opinion is her opinion, but there are more appropriate ways to state them, while allowing you to be truthful, but without being insulting.

It is amazing that no one bothers to comment on the fact that Blago has made no statement about his arrest and that no one expects him to resign. He was arrested five days ago - and all we get in terms of a statement is some pro forma language from his attorney. The story on Eliot Spitzer broke on March 10. He appeared in public on March 12 - and resigned. Here, everyone assumes that Blago is such a complete sleaze that no one expects him to appear in public and say anything. If a pharmacist is a member of the Church of Scientology, then he/she can refuse to dispense drugs for treatment of psychiatric conditions. The CO$ is very opposed to psychiatry. I think we can find other such examples. Could a Jain refuse to dispense antibiotics since they kill living creatures (i.e. bacteria). We will need billboards outside pharmacies, clinics, hospitals, etc listing what treatments are not available because of "conscience" issues.

Onlinekosten.de hatte in ihrer Tabelle einen Fehler unter dem Tarif "Complete M". Statt wie dort angegeben 6,5% Preisnachlass entsprechen die 139,05 Euro gut 10,1%.

habs gekauft: ist supereinfach zu bedienen; Musik abspielen (z.B. per iTunes) und dann am iPhone AirPhones starten - fertig. Musik kommt dann nur noch am iPhone. um zurück zu schalten den Home-Button drücken. Achtung: wo es leider nicht funktioniert: eyeTV

Schöner Bericht! Da kommt bei mir auch wieder Urlaubsstimmung auf.
Rhodos ist auch eines von meinen nächsten geplanten Urlaubszielen, da ich noch nie da war.
Ein paar Tage OHNE Internetzugang sind auch mal wieder schön, stimmt.

Hi macgeek,

the external HDD is on the Firewire port of my Mac Mini.

Even if it is possible to install there another Tiger, I won't do it. I'm not able to boot the other system, because I'm running a FTP and Web server on my main system.

Is there a technical limitation that it is not possible to choose the drive?

Maybe there is a hack to open the usb or firewire port to the atv?

Consequently, if you refresh the page or try to add a bookmark from one of your linked sites, it defaults back to Instabloke. If you want to use your blogspot(custom domain) url for your openID account, you have to delegate it by adding some code to your template (this authorizes your url to be used for your openId)

OpenID delegation

Just scroll down to the code he has and copy/paste it to your template making the small change for your openid account. Then, you use http://www.Blog Bloke.com as your openID url. The code in your template tells myopenid.com that your authorize that url for them. And no one can pretend to be you.

Blogger has said in their announcement of OpenID support that they are also working on making your blogspot(custom domain) urls easy to use as an OpenID url, but until then you can do it that way.

Yo no me queje. Hice una critica. Un comentario de los temas que siempre leo por estos lados. Para asi enriquecer un poco los contenidos. Quejarse como leia mas arriba es muy facil, hay que poner la jeta tambien, sino no sirve d nada esconderse atras del monitor.

Ya estoy medio aburrido de leer quejas. O sea, no hay blog uruguayo que no critique o se queje de algo. Es demasiado.
Todos hablan de lo mismo, que el gobierno, que derecho de consumidor, que el transporte, que cartas para quejarse a Antel.

hallo ich hab die gespräche nun ausgibig verfolgt und auch ich mus mich anschliesen das die neue seite einfach nur ziemlich crazig ausieht. warum haben sie denn die alte seite weggemacht? alles war so übersichtlich und einfach zz bedinen und jetzt muss man suchen bis die tante kommt :(
