in Black Hats Salivate as Google Prepares to Add SearchWiki to Algorithm on Marketing Pilgrim
Kudos to Google for trying some bold and different with their SERPs, but for God's sakes what a dumb idea. Maybe they're trying to lure out all the spammers and defeat them once and for all? ha ha

in The Me Game on Chris Brogan
I really admire how prolific you are, Chris! And what a great topic. While I'm by nature practically a hermit, I've forced myself to learn how to be a more social person and it's actually not as scary as those irrational fears make you think (hey, at least I'm not at a conference of spiders, right?)

Same rules apply to conferences as to social media -- be friendly, be authentic, and say what you gotta' but not more.

in Make Your Own Conference Dashboard on Chris Brogan
Very handy -- anyone else prefer iGoogle/NetVibes to the classic RSS reader? I like being able to see headlines and scan through sections based on groups; haven't used it for a conference yet but my local home page is a lot better than the newspaper!

Nice article, Chris. I particularly like the analogies at the end "Drive the van faster is both useless and dangerous, especially if faster means into a telephone pole."

Too often people want technology to come up with the answer to questions that can only be answered by a human.

in Three Golden Rules For Writing “Three Golden Rules” Articles For SEO on BPWrap
Well, as a case in point, I was inclined to click on this article in my RSS feed this morning rather than the johnon one. I think keeping to three is a good strategy -- it's simple enough to remember and take to heart, every extra component just makes things harder to keep up on.
