The show has interested me all season, but tonight was an incredible episode.

We'll just have to see if they can top it next week with the finale. I'm not so sure they can.

Re: Injustice

Suck it up, man. I agree that only one Person was able to take on the sins of the world. However, what is one to do when so many others have misrepresented what he or she believes in?

Jesus didn't apologize for the hypocrisy of the teachers of the law, but through his actions he certainly more than made up for their misrepresentation. I think the confession booth Miller and his friends set up was a powerful thing to do, especially in the place and way they did it. That doesn't mean everybody should start buying wood to build their own booths. We can, however, find some way, with or without apologetic words, to make amends for those who have screwed things up.

I suppose it's kind of like apologizing to the elderly couple sitting beside you in a restaurant for something rude your kid did . You didn't do it, and your kid may not have even realized what he or she was doing was rude. But the reason you apologize is because you don't want that to be the way the couple remembers your family.

They will know you by your love.

Re: A bolt from the blue

Awesome!

Re: Sun-Drop

The article does list Shelbyville, so you're in!

Re: Do you suppose ….

Vinton Cerf? Wright’s Preaching in Perspective (by Diana Butler Bass)

Ms. Bass...While I'm often interested in your opinion, I take great exception to your comments concerning Jeremiah Wright. In many of the sermons mentioned recently by news media, he is not preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. He is preaching anti-America slander, gossip, and ignorance. To defend his statements by comparing his style to that of Douglas is reprehensible. I think you would be hard-pressed to find a historian/scholar who would put Douglas on the same level as Wright.
Perhaps to put it in perspective, imagine if Ann Coulter were an ordained minister, and spoke her venomous words against Democrats from pulpits across the nation. No one would stand for that, because those words would violate the trust in her position/title. Wright has a right to his opinion, but don't try to cover his opinion under the umbrella of the gospel of Jesus Christ. C'mon!

Re: Another Look at The New Yorker’s Obama Cartoon (by Melvin Bray)

Finally! A writer on the God's Politics website thinks with a level head about something directed at (or at least about) Barack Obama. I had begun to wonder if I'd ever see such a thing from this site. Thanks so much, Melvin!
